GTA V : online

Should have done it region by region, or platform by platform not everything all at once.

I managed to get on last night around 10pm (Xbox) and create a character, but then couldnt get past the first race when you get off the plane due to it hanging when trying to find other players to race against.

My game crashed first time but then got on OK the second - did a small holdup and killed a couple of players with my pistol. Then went to a mission which was meant to be an 8 man deathmatch but only 2 of us were there and I couldn't leave it either, so had to turn off my Xbox. I think the core game is there just need to get past the teething problems.

Everyone would have gone straight online, just like they do when people get COD.

I wouldn't. I always complete the story first. Even if 5% did the story first it's still less of an impact.

Been trying all morning to get online. I just get the message saying "Failed to join job" I also can't create a crew.

Strange as I have not had a single issue even yesterday no matter what time I was getting online. Struggling to get into it at moment as the city is so much quieter not as much traffic or people strolling around. Although it should be a good laugh once me and my mates get online

GTA Online known issues in full:

• Occasional "Rockstar Cloud Servers Unavailable" error message
  
• Freezing sometimes while loading into first race in GTAO with "waiting for other players" on the screen
  
• Intermittent "Failed to Host a GTA Online Session" error messages
  
• Race Corona (start area, marker) occasionally not showing up for first race
  
• Errors saying "Timed out when matchmaking for a compatible GTA Online Session to join"
  
• Occasional errors about jobs failing to start or load
  
• General issues with the Social Club site and Social Club features (slow loading, failed logins, emails not arriving, etc)
  
• Misc. network and server-related error messages, disconnections, or cloud server errors
  
• Errors saying "Mission Failed" as soon as the mission begins during a session

i think they missed the main one though, it doesn't f**king work!

When I did briefly get on last night I was impressed with the little I saw. I didn't realise it was essentially going to be a seperate game, just assumed it would be GTA V with your mates; it seems to go a bit deeper than that.

Saying that I didn't get very far so could be mistaken..

It is and it isn't - it's integrated into the single player to an extent, with a shared environment and characters...but separate stories etc.

Literally I cant believe the scale of f**k up this is. No matter how many times you say "Oh its teething problems". They saw the mistakes from Sim City and the like, they even had two weeks to get an idea of how many people are playing the game. They still fucked up. It's monumentally retarded.

I got through the credits, to the start of the race. It then froze. Every time I try to go back in, the pink marker isnt even there. So I cant do s**t!

yeah, i just click play gta online then i click go and it just works for me i'm just driving around shooting everyone and selling cars. I know it's not working for a lot of people still though
