So if I didn't miss any, the 172 has 1 on the steering wheel, one in the dash, and two in the front seats? Makes it 4? So basically a 3 door clio with all 4 of those intact should work fine? Did you just plug it in?
Okay good enough. So i don't need to replace airbags or anything, just the ecu?
Also, which of the codes do i have to match?
I've found some similar ecus but not exactly the same codes.

I'm in the process of swapping the old epas with an electric epas pump, in the trunk.
I Have the same one as pictured, from a Ford, but it's a generic TRW unit.
It has 2 connectors, with 5 pins in total. Two big gauge wire ( suppose positive and negative) and a connector with 3 smaller...
Surely other people had similiar problems and maybe solved them so i can brainstorm, and there are also people which know french electronic systems very well. I can check continuity on every singe wire on the car, but if i don't know what i'm looking for its hard.

Checked the uch diag, but don't seem like it has anything to do with the temp gauge.

Checked every possible earthing point when i got the gearbox out for the famous circlip, also added an additional beefy one from chassis to engine just to avoid future issues.
