I sold a Corolla T sport a couple of years ago that I’d just put a full MOT on. I got a text from him 8 MONTHS later saying the car was dangerous, wasn’t roadworthy, shouldn’t have passed and wanted to know the garage so he could report them ? some of the nuts that buy cars are unbelievable.

Resurrecting a 10 year old thread I realise, but LB04YCR is still live and kicking - now owned by me in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. At around 90k miles it’s still going strong.

he has said something about advancing and retarding the cam timing/valve positioning, and when its in a certain position it will run perfect on idle but won't rev as the valves are too far away, but when its in the proper position he can hear valves hitting piston

Thanks for getting back to me mate. When the head was off surely it be noticeable that one piston was sitting lower down than the other meant to be at the same position? Or does a rod only have be bent by a tiny unnoticeable fraction for it to cause these issues? I looked at it when head was...

Things haven't quite gone according to plan... The mechanic has had the head off, 3 valves replaced, head skimmed, new head gasket and all put back together and running again. But it's still running like s**t. He now thinks a conrod could be bent. Is this likely as I've read that the k9k 712's...

front diamond just pulls off as its on 3 little clips, easy job. back diamond more difficult, you have to upll the plastic off out the inside of the boot door, then unscrew the central locking motor, and then there are 3 bolts holding the badge and handle together in. unscrew these, one of them...

ive got the same on my rear window, just from one wipe of sand paper when i got a little bit of overspray on it, stupid mistake, don't know why i used the sand paper it was just in my hand lol. its scratched proper bad and can't get it out...
