Well, our "VAT" is 19%, which makes the price a tad higher... anyway, I was shocked to hear that number! The problem is that I really hate the bumper without it, so Ill probably end up buying the damn splitter.

Anyone bought one of these from Renault? Here in Portugal they told me they cost a staggering 158.75€/~£112 + VAT, even with 28% discount its a robbery at 114.30€/~£80 + VAT. This is the front splitter from the 172 Cup / 182.

But my worries are that this knocking will dramatically reduce the lifetime of the transmission, and people I know with a Clio I 16V or Williams dont report this happening at all. I am really interested in finding a solution to the problem rather than to put up with it, luckily with the Eagle...

When the road is wet and I accelerate too much I get an awful knocking sound as if the wheels briefly lift from the ground and suddenly grab again (that cycle repeating rapidly). In the dry the wheel spins like it normally should and I hear no knocking, at least with tyres in good condition...

No, Im talking about engine figures. The engine puts out 75bhp stock, do you really believe that an induction kit + exhaust increases power by 15%? In my 1.6 the values were closer to 7-10%, and include the Supersprint exhaust manifold. The same with chip mods, which often promise 15%...

Im not trying to ruin anyones business, but... 86bhp?! I had a BMC CDA, Remus cat-back exhaust, no-cat, exhaust pipe diameter increased to 45mm (originally 40mm) from the manifold all the way to the backbox, and dyno tests never showed results above 78bhp. Even a chip upgrade wont help much...
