Thanks Guy's, yep it came out pretty nice in the end. Exhaust will be rectified in due course, I do have a set of track wheels for it which will be red ala R26R.
Bort was bought by a mate of mine! Yep I'm Sydney based. Interesting about the spoiler so its an addition bonded to standard spoiler?
You really should bring this car with you and the V6 of course, great RS community over here, you'll be made very welcome, where in Sydney will you be living?
Epic build mate, loving the attention to detail. Had a phase 1 (Iceberg) myself we only got 85 of them here (Australia) and only 3 or 4 were Sunflower and now 1 remains! Sold my Ph1 to buy a Lotus Elise and regretted it, hope to buy it back one day.
But I digress, I'm currently building up a...
Hi Guys,
Had an old 8 ball in my top drawer, decided it might be fun to turn it into a shift knob. My 172 had the obligatory Richbrook which I never really felt comfortable with, the size just never seemed right, I also used to have a Ph1 Cup and this seems to approximate the size and feel. I...
Hi All,
Just thought I'd add an experience with CV gaiters. I've seen a bunch of posts stating that if the inner CV gaiter fails on the driveshaft it can't be replaced and means a new shaft.
I'll disagree with that. I have a replacement on mine and also another car that I sorted on the...
Actually you can change this, if you can hold of a Clip tool theres an option in there to switch off the sensor and switch on the variable intermittent function. A previous owner of my car had changed the screen for one without the sensor so I had no intermittent function. I recently borrowed...
Rain sensor? Mine had been removed by a previous owner so no intermittent wipe until I got hold of Clip and changed the programming to no rain sensor and intermittent wipe. In my case I also had a 'serv' light on the dash due to the missing sensor.
Can't comment on legality, but did this on my Audi A4 with projectors with no problems. Results are excellent much better light output, never been flashed by oncoming traffic.
Do you have a serv lght on? I bought my car with the sensor missing and 'serv' light on. Just repgrammed my uch with the clip tool and told the computer that it didnt have the rain sensor and switched on the option for intermittent wipers. All sorted, no more 'serv' light.
The car I am repairing belongs to a friend, the gearbox ran out of oil and seized. I reprogrammed my car, which is the same model, confirmed in the clip that it has saved the option for "ABS" in the Instrument panel, disconnected my gearbox sensor, no speedo. In the Clip I can see individual...
