Hi All,
Just thought I'd add an experience with CV gaiters. I've seen a bunch of posts stating that if the inner CV gaiter fails on the driveshaft it can't be replaced and means a new shaft.
I'll disagree with that. I have a replacement on mine and also another car that I sorted on the weekend. The trick is to get the replacement gaiter past where it fouls on the block and use a stainless cable tie to hold it in place. This solution has been on my car for about 5000kms with no problems.
Just thought I'd share......
