I've come across a 172. Wanted 26k so I didn't get it! Apparently brake upgrades are only available on certain cars, although I've not come across one yet. I can't say I felt the need to upgrade brakes so far.

Have you tried using Lightroom? I usually import my projects into Lightroom and make any basic adjustments (crop/wb/brightness/contrast/etc) in there. If a particular image requires heavier PS work then I just take that image into photoshop.

I took my Crumpler Italian Connection ("The Big Cheese" is the larger version) to China. It can easily accommodate what you plan to take. There is also a slot in the rear compartment for your laptop/book. I done a lot of walking in China and I found the bag to be very comfortable.
