Thanks for your help I'm thinking that just cause the lights are going out that maybe the ignition is still on ? He thinks they should stay on like a normal key in stage 1

But the lights on dash go out in seconds and don't stay on which he says means the ignition is not staying on ?

Tried that procedure and the lights on dash all go out after seconds and I'm getting it mapped so it drives better and gets rid of the flat spot

Yeah I agree but they did try everything that normally works on renaults and what works on Meganes but they obviously haven't come across a 197 before so couldn't get the ignition to this stage and after 2 hours of trying gave up h I

Just so people understand , I'm not asking how to turn the car on I'm asking if anyone knows the sequence to enable a 197 to be in "stage1" or "diagnostics check" ? Thank you

It's not just turning the car on , it's getting it to "stage 1" or "diagnostic check" with the ignition

It's zen sport which people reckon are ok ? The lights have to stay on and not go off

Had my 197 in for a remap today but they couldn't get the ignition into stage 1 / maintainance mode so they could upload the map , Anyone know the sequence to get this up and the lights to stay on not just on check and off ??? Thanks

Just put my 197 in for a remap and they found a "knock sensor error" (had the Center silencer removed/ replaced with straight pipe just before it went in for remap) the remap placed thinks it's just a faulty sensor so I need to replace it , I've ordered one so asking people if it's easy to...

I'm thinks my the same myself , maybe they had to take the Center console but the buttons are defiantly loose and wobble abit were as they were solid ,

Had my gearbox replaced and I've noticed that the buttons that I press for the heating (cross shape) and ac one now wobble ? Can I stop them as they used to be solid ? Cheers

Can I put one from a normal Clio on a 197 as the 197 ones r ridiculous price ?

I'm getting it mapped straight after its taken off so they will get rid of the flat spot for me . And call me stupid but what do u mean by "WOT"
