It seems only to want to select 5th It just need freeing and I have no idea how to do it! :( The garage it went to before did it easy but charged me £105! Any body upto the challenge?? :cool:

Are they any good?? Thing is it went there to be fixed twice so really has to go there to be sorted. The garage I mentioned is meant to be very good too!

Yep it looks like it. Its going to Brears in Leeds, looks like a new syncromesh. I will probally have to pay and be out of pocket again. Is £200 labour good for an engine out and gearbox job? How much would a syncromesh be? Thanks :)

I cant do it! :( Took the selector rod off messed about hit it a few times and its still not budging! Neatural is second and thats all I get. No other gears engage. What to do?? :(

Hi just a quick question about this HPI check free insurance thing. Can it be from a private seller? As I tried it free from te Aviva site but its asking for a dealer number. Also do you have to prove you have bought the car etc? Dont want to be £20 lighter if it wont work. Thanks :)

Well all the work is sorted and I pick the car up on the 18th, being a massive long wait. Just want to drive my baby :( :(!!! MOT and Tax is due at the end of the month too. So; Car fixed = £705 MOT = £35 TAX = £130 4 New Tyres = £350 Haha all that in a month!!! Madness.

You are almost spot on with the costing there:) Yep its an expensive fix. The geabox is £400 and he is doing the labour at £10PH so all in all not too bad. I can do pads, breaks etc and little jobs. Im going to leave gearbox and clutch problems to a trained people I think :D Very cheeky but...

Well to take it out now and to claim on the gearbox!! :D ;)!!

You can get these warranty packs for £60pm, would something like that cover if this happened again? :)
