yeah sorry... thats very true.... mine needed changing though ALLEGEDLY as it was misfiring and therefore failed its MOT on emissions.. plus they did in fact say they needed doing at 36k and no, i cant a. change them myself as i do computers not cars and b. would rather someone else did...

ouch my renault garage said it was £250 for the 36k service.. i wish i had go that in writing especially as they charged me £104 for new spark plugs which is obviously usually part of the 36k service so erm my service will be £150 apparently...... yeah right..... have u got the invoice...

my mk1 172 front pads were £40 fitted period. renault garage quoted me £140 back pads were dead after 14,000 miles fronts died.. and i mean died at 24,000 miles. hope thats some help.

someone at work last week got exactly the same thing.... i.e their car was at home but apparently speeding some distance away... the police have since sent a letter saying "oops we got it wrong" but havent clarified what exactly happened....
