Trophy 220 brakes

  Mk4 trophy 220
Morning all. Just a quick question to anyone that has carried out a brembo 4 pot conversion on a mk4. I have a trophy 220 with a ktec induction kit, ktec turbo intake pipe, airtec cooler and cold side pipework and is tuned by RS tuning. The map absolutely transforms the drive, I am now looking to the next stages of mods. I’m interested to hear from anyone that has carried out the brembo conversion and or has fitted the Bilstein coilovers (other brands are available 😂) and if it was worth the money. I.e is there noticeable improvement to the car? Or is it more just an aesthetic improvement because let’s face it, who doesn’t like a shiny red brembo caliper! I don’t think I’ve ever questioned the overall braking power of the standard units but I have had them cooked a couple of times. And with regards to the coilovers does this improve anything other than the hideous front arch gap as I think the chassis is well sorted out the box.

Thanks in advance

As above. They are a tad sharper, a lot lighter and there's a lot more pad choice. But main reason for me was aesthetics.

My 220 trophy stopped way better than any of my 197/200s ever did I felt!

The brembos do look good, pad choice is good and there's a big saving in unsprung weight!

My Mégane 205 runs the same brakes and they are equally as good!
