Eezibleed alternative.

Just a bit of a heads up for anybody contemplating buying an Eezibleed pressure bleeder.
Don't waste your money.
I bought an Eezibleed a few weeks ago. It worked first time, but when I came to use it again a couple of weeks ago it pissed air out from a couple of places, so I took it back and got my money back.

I'd seen these generic pressure bleeder on Ebay so thought I'd take a punt. For £22 it's the same price as an Eezibleed.

What a good bit of kit. You can tell instantly it's much better quality than the Eezibleed. It's put together with much more robust, quality components.

It holds 3 litres of brake fluid. It has a stainless push fit onto the cap, so you can disconnect it when it's still pressurised. It comes with a tube to put onto the bleed nipple, a bottle to bleed the brake fluid into and a spanner type tool to tighten the cap onto the brake fluid reservoir. I didn't need to use the spanner, I tightened it by hand. I also used my own tubing and bottle to bleed into.
I used it again yesterday. What an absolute breeze to use. I ran it at 20 psi and it was spot on. I added increments of 500ml myself with a marker pen.

It's had a good wash out with hot, soapy water so ready to go again whenever I need it.

Although I've used my eezibleed for years without issues I agree that these are well worth the money. So much easier than needing an under inflated tyre as well.

This looks 10 times better than what I’ve been using for years, some ‘one man’ bleeding kit which is utter shite but never bothered replacing it, but might just do it now, ta

I thought everyone was already using these? There's a variety of caps available for different vehicles, and a universal jobbie for older stuff that's a little bit of a faf but does work.

I read on guide somewhere, some cars have a valve in the ABS that kicks in when the pressure gets over 10psi, so don't pump it to the moon.

To be honest. I've never seen this one mentioned before.
Usually the go to pressure bleeder on here seems to be the Eezibleed over the years. I have seen the odd different one mentioned that are quite expensive.
This one makes you realise just how cheap and nasty the Eezibleed is.
Knowing what I know now. If it was double the price I'd still buy one 👍😊

When I got it. I pressurised it empty to 30 psi and left it over the weekend.
2 days later it hadn't dropped even 1psi. 😁

I recently bought a manual oil extractor pump thing that has adapters for brakes/clutches. I'm yet to try it on brakes but it sure works well for oil!

Looks a lot better than my 20+ year old Eezibleed
It pisses all over the Eezibleed for quality. You'll see what I mean when it arrives 👍
Plus there's no faffing about connecting it to your wheel. It's dead easy just to keep it at 20psi with a few pumps.
I did all 4 calipers in next to no time. I bled through a couple of litres. I'd been having a bit of a problem with air in the system after changing the rear brake hoses for braided ones.
Now the pedal feel is spot on 👍

IMO pushing the fluid through with pressure works better than trying to suck it through the brake nipple under vacuum.
That mat be correct, I have a couple of pressure bleeders too so next time I need to bleed anything I'll try both and see which works best for me.

Been looking at buying one of these myself and good to hear they work well.

The branded ones used to be expensive at one point and eezibleed was the cheaper alternative. To be fair ive used my eezibleed loads of times over the years without issue. They have changed the design slightly recently and the new type are terrible. Leak from all the fittings.

I've had one for a few years - albeit Sealey branded I think but 100% identical and its been great!

The bottle that you hook up to the caliper, either crack the lid open or drill a little hole in the top somewhere, mine is sealed so as you bleed fluid into it the bottle pressurises, then when you unhook it from the bleed nipple its spaffs fluid everywhere.

Either works well tbh, just run a little grease around the bleed nipple threads to stop pulling air in. I find vac is better for removing stubborn trapped air on some cars but use the pressure pot 80% of the time.

Mine only came with the one cap, did you buy the different caps separately, if so have you got a link?

Yea thats what I have. Bought it ages ago so paid full whack too! I'm not even sad, I've had so much use out of it! Clutches, brakes - been perfect. Even on a completely dry system.

Don’t use a easy bleeder
Just get the wife out the kitchen
And Just do it the old fashioned way
And give her a bit of up down up down action

Does the cap that the kit comes with fit a Clio or do you have to buy the set of caps above?

Fits my Leon fine as well, guess alot of manufacturers use the same cap for the reservoir.

I’m actually quite annoyed I’ve never looked into a better alternative to what I’ve previously used and for the sake for £20 it’s stupid not to give it a go as I can’t say flushing the brake fluid is currently the most enjoyable job, hopefully this will make it slightly better.

Same, I've had 2 eezibleeds for donkeys, I even keep an old Renault 9 spare steel wheel for pressuring it. Might grab one of these new jobbies though, they look handy!
