I’ve got an iPhone 14 Pro so has the LiDAR on to help with focusing. Which is great. But when you try to take a photo through a window it won’t focus, assume it’s the LiDAR giving the wrong focal point.
There was a massive stag in the garden earlier and I couldn’t get a photo of it
Tried zooming in and out, pressing on the screen in several places to try and force the focus, moved further away from the window. But nope. Also made worse as it was low light and was doing a long exposure.
There were other deer in the garden, a little closer and that was the same too.
Portrait mode was the best I could get
This happens a lot. Close the app down, restart it, random screen pressing, zoom in and out, but then it will like click into life and focus fine. It’s great if you have time but when it’s these guys who don’t like to hang around for long it’s frustrating! As I don’t know what I do to get it to work. I do have a glass lens protector on that is clean and smear free. Taking photos not through a window is fine. Any suggestions? Or is there a way to turn to manual focus?
