If people are still keen to try this still when all the streamer hype has died down I might be tempted. Have been playing DayZ the past few weeks and am quite enjoying it.
I'm just a bit sceptical when all the streamers suddenly jump on a game that's effectively been available for the past 20 years because all the other games have dried up.
That was one of my worries if everyone suddenly bought it and got hit with the jankiness/complication of it all and would struggle to get a refund on console. 😅
I did buy this with my bro last November to try and relive our LAN coop Flashpoint sessions when we were growing up. Completely forgot about all the port forwarding shite I'd have to do to host so just got a refund.

After 30 hours, I'm getting a lot better at it. Had a good session on Tuesday night, but you really do need to be with a coherent squad. Too many people don't communicate or know what the hell they're doing. Rinsing bases of supplies for them to die 30seconds later.
Someone got their arse out with me yesterday because rather than just spawn a new vehicle, I decided to fix it for an 18th of the cost in supplies, so he f**king shot me after spawning a vehicle. Cool!

It's been quite funny watching all the streamers scramble for the next thing now COD is pretty much on its arse.
Downloaded the demo for this on Xbox to try it out but not got round to bothering yet. Looks fun but feel like it probably won't be as good in practice.
That was just for the mods I think. Depends if tweaked servers are affected to, like a standard server might have no option to see friendlies on the map.
Tempted to say PS was getting mod support end of Feb but could be wrong.
Yeah 😆 I'll give Verdansk a go, maxed out the M82 and could find another nostalgia gun to team it with. If the games still shite then it'll be short lived though!
Trying a demo/through steam for a potential refund or having a live stream on to see what it's actually like is probably best. Although these highlight vids are still pretty long there will be a lot of wandering about with not much happening cut out (which is maybe what we need to be fair, time to chat with a bit of action!), then maybe getting shot out of nowhere. 😅
Would probably be decent with a bunch of us all squadded up messing about in vehicles to be fair. As long as it's not too hard to stick together.

38 hours clocked now, had a good session sniping. I'm desperate to get on this with a group that actually discusses what they're going to do and move as a group. Too many Rambos.
@Jonnio it isn't too hard to stick together, even easier if someone wears a radio (means we can respawn on that team member with basic loadout). It's learning how to actually play the bloody game that takes a bit of getting used to. Too many just go hunting for kills, but bases need to be captured, supplied and built and brought online. Theres a big issue with people building themselves a loadout that costs 200pts to be killed 30 seconds later in either a car crash or just general kills. Along with buying a car that costs 250pts and their respawn cost. People are clueless.

Last night was unreal, I was in a RUS VS ENG lobby, the abuse was unreal, racial slurs left right and centre, some thick southerner saying it was a UK only server (no it's not), then the same guy thought he would try and offend a french guy by just repeating "Oui". Then a yank started bleeting on about Trump and how much of a super power they are, I had to just turn it off.
@Krarl loves the French when playing COD! I wouldn’t say it was a racist slur as he talks about them so eloquently.

I simply don't go on anything that's effectively PvP any more. The toxicity is off the charts.
It used to be all a bit tongue-in-cheek with the occasional rimjob shouting their mouths off - but nothing like it is today. PvE with randomers is about as close as I get these days.
