Okay so..

1. Pretty much yeah freezes up a bit and then restarts no blue screen or anything

2. I've literally only played arc raiders over the last few weeks but I'm sure it happened before with BF6. Usually after a long sesh.

3. Pretty much this build so Ram is pretty low but generally been okay for years now.

4. Yep xmp enabled but that's all I've done. Not any proper overclocking.

5. I'll have a to figure out how to check that 😂

I did a while back now turn the fans down because they get annoying although should be at 100% anything over 75-80c. Maybe that's my first go to try and resolve also will look at event viewer and see if there's anything obvious.
I have seen similar behaviour when the power supply unit has been on the way out, or when too much power is being drawn from, for example, an overloaded power strip. The sudden drop in consumption can trigger cut outs and restarts. There are sometimes power related events shown in the event viewer (if that is the case).

I had a similar issue with an asus tuf motherboard
It ended up being related to the motherboard anti surge protection
I ended up replacing the 750w psu with a 1100w fsp 80 plus platinum and the cut outs stopped

Thanks mate I'll take a look in the event viewer see if there's anything obvious and go from there. I'll check all the power cables too make sure everything looks okay.

I have a bunch of critical events saying kernel-power does this point to the PSU you reckon then? Does seem so. I'll try a few things and see how it is over the next week if it keeps happening I'll replace it.

Kernel-Power 41? If you are seeing a lot of those, that confirms the sudden and unexpected power loss - where main culprits are failing PSU, RAM, overheating. More often than not, it is power supply related.

There are a few things to try. Firstly, plug the PC directly into the wall socket (rather than from a strip extension, if applicable). Use separate PCI-E cables internally - avoid daisy-chaining. Also, try installing MSI Afterburner and dropping the power limit down to something like 80%. See if that "fixes" things.

An interesting thing to note, too... the recommended PSU for a 3080 Ti is 850W. 750W with your CPU and GPU is borderline, especially if the system sees transient spikes and the PSU cannot handle it. Sustained loads (whilst playing the actual game) can be dealt with easier than managing fast transient oscillations in power spikes (which can happen when exiting a game, for example).

Appreciate the help mate taking notes and going to test and monitor maybe a few weeks but will update how it goes. For now I've just reinstalled a bunch of drivers and turned the fans back to turbo in the bios as I did recently turn them down.

Will see if I still crash before I try a few other steps to try and narrow it down through process of elimination maybe.

Try limiting the power in MSI afterburner. If it doesn’t give you any issues with the GPU set to 80% power limit you’ll pretty much be sure it’s the PSU.
