Always see lassies with private plates ending in CYA.
Usually on something tragically slow like a Fiat 500 or a Corsa with about 59bhp.

I saw a dark blue 14 reg, BMW M5 520d in a shop car park yesterday, completely standard (wheels and all) but with an M5 boot badge, a rear spoiler and four exhausts. I'd have got a pic but it had people round it. It wasn't running. I think I'd have pissed myself!

i really cannot understand why people would add an M5 badge or Brabus Badge or anything similar on a standard car, people who know would just laugh at you, and people who don't know don't care....lol, it's such bizarre behaviour.

They probably tell people they've got an M5 etc. A lot of people think that M stuff on a BMW means it's an actual M car.. they forget about the engine and the rest of it.

This is true. I used to work with a guy who had a 420D M-sport and he was the typical “boasty” type who would like to chip in to random conversations I had about cars with the guy opposite (he had an S5); mostly referring to how expensive his car is to run and maintain.

I know I shouldn’t have let it get to me, but it used to drive me mad how he’d say “cars like ours” when comparing his 420D to my M4. No mate, they’re not the same.
