I didnt take it out when my 172 got written off by someone with no insurance. paid 10K for car, Insurance offered 7k. i had only had the car for three months!! had to really haggle to get the offer up. would defo buy GAP next time!!

Im doing this shortly.Gonna hand car back plus 180notes which equates to half and then walkaway! Doesnt affect credit history or anything like this. Most main dealers rely on people doing this for repeat business.

I had that happen to me. Claimed off council but my local City Council dont pay for new item they only give you about 70% of its total value, cos its effectively worn and not new! Luckily I knew the guy and he wrote me a recepit out for more than actual value to compensate!! :D
