One of the coolant hoses on my g/fs 1.4 RT has sprung a leak and p!ssed ALL the coolant out (just before the snow started coming down). Wheres the best place to get one? Its the one just above the thermostat housing that feeds back to the expansion tank. Cheers

Whats a gearbox :D , only kiddin, found it & the cables were ok, gave it a tap with a small hammer and bingo, car is back where it should be now. Wouldnt start again after switching off though :( Are they easy to change??

Can someone tell me exactly where the starter motor is on a 1994 1.4RT Auto? Battery is fine but the bl00dy thing wont even turn over. Lights and everything electric works. Its stuck in a car park @ the moment and costing!! Anyone help please?

I do prefer the MK1 shape over the newer models. Running costs is a big thing for me as my weekly mileage will be going up to about 250 miles just for work in a few months.

OK peeps, Im thinking of going for something with a bit more horses under the bonnet. Do I go for a valver or a 172? What are the running costs etc on both? Anyone had both? Any advice would be most appreciated. Cheers

Speedo cable was causing that problem on my old RT. Bulbs ou can get from Halfors or CAFCO/GSF etc.
