I wouldnt go that far like, bit OTT.
They are known for being a bit weak and folding, but the strength is still there. If possilble jack up and place stands on the chassis like Fred has showed you.

I did a search the other day and it will come up, I searched as I had the fault. Plugged a diagnostic machine in and it came up brake pedal switch.
Out of curiosity, does it go off one you switch the engine off?
Had a similar problem on mine, have you replaced any tyres recently? or are any tyres due to be replaced? Also what brands of tyres have you got on the front?
If its not that, it may be a brake caliper sticking on.
Why do people on here hate this mod?? i mean like really hate it. There's been a few threads about push button starts and it really get's peoples back up.

I feel your pain, took me ages to sell my previous cars. Have you tried Auto Trader? I sold my last car within a week of it being in the Trader, after 3 months of trying.
