I got the cable with mine and haven't had a problem. You can buy a "high speed" cable from Alpine for the older iPods, you might need this?? If not just the standard one should do.

Its not a bad road to be fair, drive up it often and never had a car pull like it before. Like i say the tracking is out, aswell as having a problem with the front tyres. I just wasnt sure if these suffered from torque steer, it does it in most gears so i presume its not normal lol Jonny

Snapped belt, bent valves etc. You'd have to be unlucky for it to snap on your way home, but it is a canny drive and is possible!
