So a cold air feed into the engine improves performance?

Really, how come it kills power? I thought it would increase it as there is more cold air rushing into the engine? I've got a cold air intake pipe on it already from the previous owner, should I remove that too?

Hi all, Anyone got a K&N 57i Air Filter on their 172/182? Im thinking of putting one on my 172, and want to know if its worth it! Only £90 off eBay :)

That is a bit of a jump, but you've got to think if its worth it! I had a 1.4 16v Corsa SRi paying £650 a yr full comp with 1 yrs ncb. I then purchased a 172, and my insurance is now £2000 with 2 yrs ncb! But I swear, its worth the extra £1450 a yr!! ;)

I'd say its something to do with the exhaust gases, maybe there is a sensor somewhere in the exhaust system that measures the exhaust fumes. I shouldn't think its unsafe to drive, unless the sensor is measuring inside the cabin of the car, in which case its telling you that dangerous exhaust...

Pass it over, i'd use it every day! ;)

Hi! I managed to change the sidelights successfully, but couldn't actually find any decent one's. The first set I bought were blue LED's, but they looked too illegal. ;) So then I bought some labelled 'laser blue', and when I fitted them, they just looked exactly the same as my original...

That was my mate thinking he was funny when I was taking a picture. He's got an 08 reg Alfa 147 Colleczione, he didn't appreciate it when I did to his roof! ;) Better pics will be coming soon! :)

My mate with the 182 actually prefers my 172 to his 182!!

Hi Max. The 182 is the newer of the two. They are slightly different styling features too. Most noticably the alloys are different, and with the 182, you get the twin exhaust coming out of the bumper at the back. The 182 also has an extra 10bhp than the 172. I believe this is achieved...

I have ordered to sets off eBay. The first set are white LED's, and the second set are blue tint sidelights. So im hoping at least one of them will look good, lol.

Hi All, I went to Halfords tonight, first of all I bought some blue LED sidelights, but they looked too illegal so I took them back. I then got some sisdelights described as Laser Blue, and they are exactly the same as my normal sidelights, maybe just a bit brighter. Any suggestions...

Yeh I think it is Wheelsmart, they are just on the A5 by B&Q? I've seen quite a few with Graphite wheels, and I like the look :)

They look really nice, quite a similar style to the cup wheels? I was also looking into getting my sprayed a graphite colour, as a place by me refurbs and sprays the alloys for £160. Is this a reasonable price?

I didn't say I wanted Xenon sidelights, I want one's that match my Xenon's colour wise as my sidelights look odd with my xenon's on. Do you not think that they look much better than normal headlights, let alone how much better they are in the dark visibility wise? Im presuming you have not...

Yeh, i've seen that one before! Very nice car! :) I want to get some wheels for mine, as i've just got the standard 172 wheels. Quite like the 182 wheels, but not sure as I don't want to make it look like im trying to make it a 182. What do you think?

Yeh, we were looking at the brake's on my car, the left front one is squeaking quite loudly!

But do I have to take the bumper off to get to the headlights to take them out? Or is there a compartment at the back of the lights that I can access? I agree actually, they always should be on! I might have to start doing that.... ;)
