I owned a flame red 172 2 years ago and was hooked on renault sports cars. I had to sell it unfortunetly because I worked quite far away and was spending £80+ a week on fuel so bought a Golf GT TDI. Finally got a better job and local so I treated myself to a brand new LY R26 which i wrote off...

Go for a R26, turn more heads with a R26. lol And you will love the turbo power when the turbo spools up. But then again i like the 197's as well lol all down to personal choice really. But you can easily remap a R26 to 260HP.

Was on my way to work this morning to drop some keys off which is a 30 mile trip there and back and i saw 4 172/182's and 2 197's! lol they were everywhere today. :rasp:

black is the best colour only when its been polished and the worst when its dirty. lol

ne1 got ne ideas what i can get then? ive tried a few shampoos but they never seem to b that foamy. ive got auto glym super resin polish but it didint really such a nice shine on my gol. never atempted waxing so would know where to start. lol heard poor boys do good stuff 4 wheels, ne1 here used...

yeh i am. not sure which make to buy. auto glym, sonus or meguiars.

think i'll have to invest in one. y are cleaning products so expensive lol a full kit is easily over £100 or more. I'll save up and get 2 sonus grot guard and buckets, wash mitt, mirco fibre towel, shampoo, polish, wax, wheel cleaner, wheel cleaning brush, metal polish for exhaust, tar remover...

Right may seem stupid but how do you wash a car properly. all i do is just use a bucket and shampoo. never used polish or wax and other stuff. whats the diff between wax and polish? what sort of order are you supposed to do? getting a new car soon so i wanna keep it clean and tidy from day 1.

Well what do you all reckon is the best renault sport colour ever made is? my opinion 1st = Liquid yellow, 2nd = Inferno orange and 3rd = Flame red (not that i'm being biased! lol!) also love racing blue but only on a 182, doesn't suit any other car.
