can you see the dogbone mount from under the car, i'm sure mine if goosed coz the car makes a nasty grounding sound in first and sometimes in second, if i jack the car up and look under will i be able to see it?

just got the 172 back from renault last week after they changed all my belts, car now feels slightly sluggish, is this a problem when renault do them, have they retarded the timing on my car, anyone notice this before, cheers guy's

i thought it might of been an engine mount, coz it only happens when the engin is under lots of strain in first

anyone know what this noise could be, first gear and i set it away, loud noise from the front, kinda like a grinding noise or as if the engine moves when i set it away, only happens in first gear and when i put my foot down.

how much is the front top mount on the suspension, been told by renault to gget it done but they want 87 pound for it, they also want me to give them 117 to fix the back exhaust hanger, seen it online for like 23 inc vat, but can i fit the front mount myself and how do i do it, cheers guy's

wow got my service report back, needs new back box and mid section, front suspension thingy on the top, new pads front, new tyre on spare, nail in tyre, got 1 month warrenty with the car, can i expect the garage to pay for some of this? i just paid 500 for the service and belts.

well lucky for me i am,(loaded) but if i thought i could get it done to the same standard at another garage cheaper, then i would, but for the fact i have just bought it and it needed doing, thought it might as well get it done from dealer.

just been on to renault in durham and got a one day only deal for tomorrow for the 72k service and a cam belt change, with the full kit, pulley's and aux belt for 500 quid, this sounds like a good deal to me, am i right?

i own a phase 1 172 with the black door strips, do the colour coded ones off a phase 2 fit or the 182 also the chrome 2.0 16v badges, do they fit, these black ones totally spoil the look of my car, looks like a 1.2 from the side,
