have you had the tracking checked because that may well be your cause, even tho it dont pull when driving the extra force under braking could show up the tracking porblem, kiwkfit will do you a check for free, if it fine then you have ruled that out
mine whistles like a b**ch, but its a bran new exhaust and gasket kit and there is not a leak anywhere in the system lol its so annoying, i have even tuned the engine off going down a hill and its still there but not always really weired lol
love it, 10/10 for effort thats the whole point of modding trying new things, it dont have to look good or be expensive its all about the learning experiance
the burning smell will go in a day or 2 just leave it it wont do any harm, i had one stick to mine once fell off after a month or so lol
or get some solvent which will soften it up so you can peel it off
any powerflow place will do you one fully fitted for £300 with life time gaurentee etc, i know some people hate them etc but i have never had a problem with mine
on my 206 gti the coil pack was fudged however it would not misfire all the time, somtimes it would on do it when cold somtimes it would only do it when hot etc somtimes low/high revs once i changed it all was fine,
have you ran a fault code sacnner yet? or better yet get the coil pack checked...

the door handle was a perfect fit, it was either a 8mm or 10mm square and hand no play at all in the sumplug. jamming a scewdriver through the oil filter is a crcking idea i would have never thought of but still sounds a bit dodegy lol especially if somthing goes worng and the filter does...
simple really i couldnt get a good enough grip on it, anyway its my car not your so keep your thoughts to yourself rather than saying it gets on your tits, if it bothers you that much come to nottingham and change it!
just struggled to get at it the filter tbh, i got a good grip but couldnt get both hands on it, i didnt know you could remove the fuel rail to get to it, im new to these cars/engines so its all a learning experiance lol

just changed the oil on the 182, the oil what came out was so black and thick it was unreal, i dread to think when the car was last serviced, only problem was i couldnt get the oil filter off, but a oh i will change it next time,
thanks to this forum i used the square thing out a door handle to...
at sutton auto factors the differnace between the cheap one and the bosch one was a fiver lol so bosch all the way, i paid £47 or £49 in total which isnt to bad i thought

i have had loads of problems with my coolent temp sensor and sprak plugs and lmabada and i had no light on the dash but there where fault codes stored in the ecu
have you run a fault code check to see whats a matter before you go replacing parts??
and it may just need a good service and a...
turns out it was a dodgy fuse, the fuse appeard fine but when i changed it its all working now, however the numberplate light still is not working lol

noth my front and rear fog lights are not working the lights are not lighting up on the dash either and the bulbs are fine so are the fuses also the rear number pate buld is not working either and i have replaced the bulb to!!
any ideas are they connect e.g. are they all on the same circit...
i have no idea tbh and you will only get gunk if the water is mixing with oil, however you can get the oil into the coolent system and mix that way, however fill it back up and turn the engine on and let it run for 10 - mins to get upto temp etc and see if the water starts to go down and look...
you either have a leak in the system or your head gasket has gone check under you oil filler cap for white gunk which would suggest your head gasket is gone
and check all around the block for water marks to see if you have a leak in the coolent system whatever you do dont drive it tho because...
quick update i changed the lmabada but all that did was stop the poping in the exhaust e.g. not overfueling as much
however the mis fire was caused by a knakard spark plug chnaged the set and the engine is running smooth and the car accelerates nice and smooth and very quick now
so all things...
i will give that a shot unless the cat and exhaust fall apart in the process lol, i dont want a decat cannot be arsed with all the hassle come mot time nor do i want a loud exhaust

got my new 182 on friday woop woop a day later the problems started
coolent temp sensor was fudged and the temp gauge was doing that werid thing anyway changed that and it stoped the car cutting out etc
then the lambada sensor went mental and stoped working and was causing the car to misfire...
