Lol, its been known as the oil pan in my industry for the whole 22 years ive been here. Im also guilty of calling petrol gas as im just used to it. lol
Driven it to work today and now covered about 50 miles all in. Still some squish at the top of the pedal due to needing another bleed (I've not re bled them yet) but Christ they feel mighty.
The rate at which it scrubs speed and the stability in doing so, and the pedal feedback is impressive...
Yep, those PAS switches are shite, they're common for weeping and you don't need much of it to create quite a mess. As @Daniel said, get some brake cleaner on it all, wash and dry it. A clean dry engine will soon show it up. I had my oil pan cleaned and re sealed late 2019 and its already...
Indeed there aren’t many wheels that drop over big calipers without spacers. The X3MA that I have here and the Braid Fullrace and Fullrace C are 3 I know of that go straight on in a 15” fitment.
Well I’ve driven it home and initial impression which I was fully prepared for was they are initially far from earth shattering, as you would expect from an all new setup.
The whole system has been off including a master cylinder swap so I’m well aware that they will want a good bedding in and...
Ive not seen them on yet but the thicker discs are significantly larger than OEM and should make a huge improvement to cooling when pushed hard.
Im certainly looking forward to seeing how they feel with the correct master cylinder in place too.
Lol, Jon you just sold a perfect track car with all the right bits. Ha.
To be honest i really liked my previous setup with the 29s but i found at Snetterton i was never 100% confident in standing on the brakes at the end of the back straight after a few laps. The pedal never went on me and the...
Been collecting some upgrades for WZD over the winter. One of which was an improved brake package in the form of the following:
PMS 285mm Brembo 4 pot caliper package.
PMS 285mm x 28mm 2 piece rotors
New rear brake calipers with red powder coated carriers.
EBC Racing RP1 front pads (Interested...
Set it and drive it. Go on how it drives over anything else mate. Mine isnt slammed but i still run the RCK kit and it does make a notable improvement to front end turn in.
Not sure what my exact heights are without measuring but my front control arms are parallel with the ground and the rear is slightly higher.
i use mine both on road and track and this allows a decent bit of wheel travel still. Ideally it wants corner weighting but I haven’t pulled my finger out...
Be patient fella. Alex has a fantastic rep and rightly so, but because of that he is absolutely balls deep in work. If he were to respond to everyone who contacts him right away, you wouldn’t see that engine till next Christmas.
I’ve got a relatively small job I want doing and even that he told...
Not much going on with WZD over the winter. Wife gave birth to our little boy in January so had plenty to be occupied with.
Clio got hit (parked at petrol pump & revered into) the day before Christmas Eve which means the front bumper has a healthy scuff in it that I need to sort too.
Yesterday I...
How are the brakes now with the 197 MC? Do you feel this is 100% required when swapping to Brembos up front?
Im about to do the same on a street/track car.
