Stud / Nut Vs Wheel Bolts

Stud & nut purely for frequent wheel changes. Studs & nuts are easier to locate the wheel. That’s about it. They too will rust. If you want a rust free solution, fit good quality bolts.

    Starting Issue...

Have you had the battery off and then back on again. Not sure if Renaults are the same, but you can rest the PCM on Fords by removing the battery.

    The new tool thread

The Halfords Advanced set is probably as good as any home mechanic could ever need. Lifetime warranty and if you ever have an issue, just return it to you local store.

    RM04 MOR - Arctic Blue 182

Making a tidy job of this Sam. I'd stay with 280mm discs as it gives you options further down the line :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks, they’re absolutely fine. I keep them as clean as I can and occasionally add some ACF50 to help protect them. The zinc coating does very little at protecting them though, you need to add Dynax or similar to stop the hubs getting eaten. Lol

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Just for thread variation, I did the EVOMS on the R too. Much easier to service as these are Synthamax and are not oiled.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

New mats and filter service on the Maxogen. Takes bloody ages to flush out all the old oil, even with the correct ITG cleaning solution, but worth it when you see the junk one of these collects in 20k of road miles. Should be good for a further 20k now.

Fred and James’ Clio 182 Racecar Project

Thanks for that, im running the Northloop RCK hubs and only a 5mm spacer up front so should be okay for lock. I thought buying direct from Uncle Sam might be the case, i'll just get bummed for soem VAT & duty lol

Fred and James’ Clio 182 Racecar Project

Wonderful talent and fantastic attention to detail. Did you buy the Z06 ducts over here or did you buy direct from the US? Also may i ash what you have used to connect them to the foglight apertures. I think id like to do the same, providing you have no tyre fouling on full lock. Thank you :)

EH?. . . WHAT?... Sound deadening.

Actually, I've just checked regarding weights. Deadening was 8kg Dodo Hex, 3.5kg Noico 2mm, 2kg of Super liner. So less audio, if anyone wanted to do the same without audio its approx 13.5kg to do the whole car. I had a tiny bit left over but for weight purposes is negligible.

Conclusion as posted in my main project thread: Im not going to lie, it feels like its been a slog. A job i really wanted to do but so glad i broke it down into segments. To do properly just takes so much time and you can easily get carried away just rushing it as its pretty laborious. The...
