EH?. . . WHAT?... Sound deadening.

So just following up to conclude this thread since I finally did the cabin of the car this weekend. I removed all the interior trim, seats and carpet and along the way was looking for clues to a creaking seat that I’d had for a while. After removing the seat I’d found nothing out of the ordinary...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

One of these is more than enough for me mate. I had my time as an 18 year old with a pair of Eclipse 12s in the boot and more watts of audio than Wembley stadium. Lol. One of these at 150w RMS is more than enough to cope with anything most folk want to listen to and at volumes that are more...

    Andy’s Trophy #151

Yeah that’s exactly what he means. Although, not sure how much lighter a Turini is than an oem 182 wheels.

They’re standard cast Turinis with a higher offset.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I know of a few others that have cracked when the OEM spacers are retained. They focus all the seat pressure on a very localised area and the metal fatigues over time. I lived in Steeple for 10 years so know the Bradwell and Dengie roads well, it’s a great run out that way. There are usually...

    Door card material trim

I’d say it’s cheaper and easier to source a replacement door card from a breaker.

Take your time mate and spit the job into sections. The layer system with deadener, foam, insulation works remarkably well.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Oh I don’t use them... I just put them in photos for show. I use a rusty adjustable spanner and bent screwdriver for all jobs. 🤣🤣

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

So yesterday I thought I’d finally finish up my sound deadening project and do the cabin floor. I removed all the interior trim, seats and carpet and along the way was looking for clues to a creaking seat that I’d had for a while. After removing the seat I’d found nothing out of the ordinary so...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Dawn raid across Essex and Suffolk at first light this morning with @MrBlonde. Over 100miles covered and ended up at First Coffee in Woodbridge. Cold, cloudy overcast day, but took some pics anyway of her. Modern classic right here. Ha! :D

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Small but satisfying job on WZD over the last couple of days; new alloy pedals. The existing pedals were worn and polished after 135k enthusiastic miles. I was tempted to keep the patina of the old pedals, but then I saw a lad on Facebook who had made some exact copies of the original...

Will I destroy my lovely Clio Cup ????

No problem at all, if you're local to Mark Fish, its worth talking to Alex at AW Motorworks too. He will be able to assist without the MFM price tag. My opinions above are just my opinions, everyone has one on this and as i say, i still flirt with the idea of turbocharging, purely because i love...

Finally took the cover off this since September. The sun is out so WZD got left at home today. 😅

Will I destroy my lovely Clio Cup ????

Haha, funny enough i explored that route too. I haven't seen an early original RS2, but i have seen one of the latest spec ones circa (August 2020) and the build quality was absolutely appalling. I wouldn't have paid £120 quid for it, leave alone £1200! The finish on the carbon was poor both...

Will I destroy my lovely Clio Cup ????

I was all set to turbocharge my daily 182 last year, so i went and drove a couple. These were my thoughts for what its worth.

Haha, shes filthy at the mo bro. I'll get you some fresh ones this week. Actually seeing as we have some nice weather, im going to uncover the Cayman and use it for work, so WZD can have a few days off :)

    Baby seats in a 182

They're a little bulkier but id deffo go with something you can swivel. Makes putting them in and out so much easier. We bought a pair of Britax Romer Dualfix Isize mate. I've not put one in the 182 but you're welcome to try. Goes from 6 months to 4 years (or 18kg)
