Alternative to TD pro race thats actually available.

Hi all,

I need some 15 inch wheels with track tyres for an upcoming day at cadwell.

Any recommendations, everything I'd seen before suggested Team Dynamics but I can't seem to find any on stock?

So according to Demon Tweeks Team Dyanamics have been closed for a while and they are not sure if they will reopen!

I specced up a set of Speedline 2118s which I really like but now Ive just read they are actually a pretty heavy wheel? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I wouldnt mind a set of used OZ F1s will try to find some of those - and will check out the Evo Corse X3MA - never seen them before

ah, just looked at the EVO Corse X3MA, they are beautiful looking wheels. They do seem quite pricey though and I cant get a set of 4 for 15 days and as usual ive left it late (track day is the 29th).


I mean im not very good at driving so not sure the weight of the 2118s is actually a problem and presumably it means they are strong solid wheels??

They are heavier compared to some of the other wheels, but ran them on my Cup track car without any issues and they look lovely! I would not worry about it personally and yes they are strong wheels 👍

I recently bought 15" Speedline Turini 2120 from Demon Tweeks to replace the 16" wheels on my 182.
That was 2 or 3 weeks ago and they had stock in silver or gold, but a quick look suggest they are now awaiting stock.
It's a good strong wheel and saves 1.5kg over the 16" OEM lump. Maybe worth searching other suppliers.

I used some of these back when I had my 182 IIRC, they were definitely decent. Couldn't swear to how heavy they are, but definitely a lot lighter than the standard wheels.

I thought they were pretty reasonable when I got a set for my MX5, certainly a lot cheaper than RPF1s or TE37s 😂
Speaking of which, if the weather is nice over the weekend I'll pull them off the mx5 and stick them on the Clio. Was going to do it last weekend but it started bloody snowing after I'd cleaned the girlfriend's car!

Team dynamics 1.2 are like £330 directly from Rimstock as and when they will supply them, you just need to ring them directly, Justin at Rimstock.

They only had matt black so I just went for them but would have rather one of the other colours

I'm right in the middle of a mid life crisis and every lockdown drinking sessions seems to result in another upgrade recently 🤣

I woke up this morning and I'd ordered a new steering wheel!

Demon tweeks seems to have pro race 1.2's in stock at the minute (only in black though). and they were 20% off on there eBay store last week, making them under £400 for a full set.
