I would love another valver but the fear of rust puts me off :(
I would go for a 182 as parts are easier to get hold of and less rust.
Rust is evil evil evil expensive stuff!!!
Hey mate, I use a chap who is 10 mins walk away in Holbrook and will be about the same distance for you.
His name is Jon and has a small unit next to the Mercedes breakers and the gypsy camp, opposite side of the road to Bankside Tackle shop on Holbrook industrial estate.
Don’t use Spraytek -...
Actually it’s far easier and you don’t break clips on the rear by doing it this way:
Prise rear card off and reach inside:
Teach down and you will feel 3 fastening tabs. Just simply squeeze with the fingers and they release the trim:
Takes literally 2 mins and nothing gets broken.

Also re-did the gear knob insert:
And installed a new passenger door lock mech as mine was sticking. Cost £7 and 30 mins to fit - very satisfying quick cheap fix :)

Also did the plaque trim as it was marked and sticky surface was a mess.
Rubbed down:

Also painted the rear bumper trims in satin black:

Not really been a great fan of the carbon interior trim so sourced a second hand set and refurbed in Nimbus. Originals have been safely removed and stored away.
Replacement set found but not the best condition:
Battered door pulls:
All rubbed down:
And painted:

Bodywork tidy up time!
Before
A few dents, scratches and cracks:
Car PDR’d and paint rear bumper, rear passenger quarter and blend into the door:
Much better 👍
Tough one mate.
I personally would ask for my money back and don’t bother asking for them to re-done.
If they don’t pay up I think you need to cut your losses and go somewhere else and put it down to a learning curve.
Where are you from?
