I have tried Flux before when I was looking for my current policy and they couldn't even quote me I believe it was because of my age, does anyone know how old you need to be to have a quote with Flux?

Well I am still fairly young in the grand scheme of things so the prices I have been getting are very reasonable I believe, Adrian flux may be worth a ring! Discount?! I like the sound of that ;)

Hi all! Coming towards the end of my current policy and I will be starting a new insurance policy with my newly acquired RB 182 :D I am 19 with 1 years NCB, nearly been driving 2 years! I have been getting quotes of around the £900-1000 mark which is over half what I paid for my first year...

Thats also very true, thinking about it I rarely see 182's... You do see more when you own one because you look out for them I suppose, I think there are probably 3 in my area!

Maybe he did, I mean 400 ish is still a fairly rare number! Obviously like you say its nothing on a par with the number of PB or LY but even so!

I agree, its a stunning colour! Only reason I asked was someone mentioned they were a fairly 'rare' colour and I thought there were a lot more than that :p

Did not know they only registered 29 Petrol blue 182's! So they actually made less RB's than they did Trophy's? :o

Exactly this, I am only just buying a 182 after a year of driving a Mini & my insurance has dropped over 1k! Don't risk not putting it on your insurance :)

This was something I found out last night, If as standard they have a Cat and you decat it, it is still Illegal! But there is this ongoing debate of whether the decat itself is illegal, or whether it is decided entirely on the emissions... Hmm

Thanks for the replies guys, picking my RB 182 up on the 20th of June and its currently got a Miltek Decat exhaust system, now he is going to sort me a cat out but I didnt realise how expensive they were :o

Well my mates 182 passed its MOT and his is Decatted, they only fail the car on MOT if its above the emission levels that are legal! As for legality I did think it was illegal but as we are seeing here there are so many differing opinions and views! :p

I did think this was the case, just wanted to double check thank you guys!

He is one of my good mates, He was actually in no rush to sell it! So it will be treated very well from now until then :) Its currently heavily modified, so he is putting it back more standard for when I buy it! works quite well time frames wise :)
