Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Couple of little “tinker” jobs on WZD today. First up was a nice new bonnet release latch. I had planned to buy one and. Luckily found a new part on eBay for £10.50 delivered so couldn’t pass that up. Because new bits. :D Second was replacing all the trim clips on the tailgate trim. I hate...

What is the purpose of a oil catch can?

On a non recirculating system as show, its condensation that forms in the cold catch can when the engine is switched off. Some people choose to run a RTS (Return to sump) setup that will allow the oil caught to return to the oil pan. As you can imagine, that amount of condensation is built up...

What is the purpose of a oil catch can?

Oil vapour but most of that will be condensation/water.

Another vote for Unilite. Not sure they have charging bases though, as all the ones I’ve seen are plug in.

    Inferno fix up

I agree. Junking the AC is the easy route, I’d fight to keep it.

    My Impreza mistake

Just a paint brush. Goes on like a very thin almost water like UV liquid. Dries clear.

    My Impreza mistake

I’d paint any rust with Hydrate 80, then coat with Elecrox zinc primer and some satin black. You can then seal it with Dynax UB.

Fortunately for me, i've never had a fastener on any of my cars put up much of a fight. With what these bloody things cost, i'm certainly not hitting them with a sodding hammer... f'king butcher!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Hard to know for sure but I've hung off them pretty hard with a car on stands. So arguably you could apply even more leverage if the car was on a ramp, but i do all my work on the floor. They're basically Snap On dual 80 slimline heads on a long wrench. They're silky smooth and feel mega. Then...

Agree with Kyle, the flex gives you a lot more scope for versatility. Probably my favourite ratchet spanner. These things are lovely to use.

Snap On 15 degree 10mm-19mm set plus a set of their extra long double box flex ratchets. The long ones are bloody lovely things to use.

    K20 powered 172

Loving the zero corners cut approach you’re doing on this. Can’t wait to see it come together. 🙂

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

Super talented driver and excellent journo. Doesn't mix his words and always has something interesting to say. He's up there with the likes of Harris, Dickie, Frankel, Sutcliffe, Barker etc all proper drivers who can actually write properly too. Not a YT influencer mongo who can barely string...

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

Whilst I don’t think he’s on the breadline. I don’t think they earn the kind of money you might think they do. If he has a car that no longer suits his needs and isnt being used. Has a better car that requires some funds thrown at it. Why wouldn’t you flog it to help with the 911 build?

No i havent. For a run of the mill light, I like the little Snap Ons or Unilite. I don’t know much about Olight before my mate bought me this. Got a flash torch and 2 bottles of Malbec, I’ve good mates. 😅👌🏼

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

Only a little. Full RSS control arms/toe links etc, KW dampers and a few other bits. Motor suffered some scoring so it’s having a full build. He was thinking of doing an X51 Carrera motor swap but now he’s building the existing motor. Ive spoken to him a few times but don’t know him well enough...

So it was my birthday last week and one of my best mates treated me to this. Called an Olight S2R Baton2 and it’s frankly the most outrageously bright tiny torch I’ve ever seen. This little thing kicks out over 1100lm at full tilt and will run for up to 60 days on its lowest setting. Now that’s...

    Engine mount question

Its not uncommon for them to separate that way when they fail. I had one that looked perfect till it was removed too.

Would you let your girlfriend drive yours?

Of course, wife drives all my cars. She wanted to do her first trackday when we first got together and we took the Clio to Snett, she loved it. She's happy enough pass lapping the Ring too, so no issues there. I think if we could get my daughter in it, she'd be out in the Cayman all the time lol
