Never really been a big fan of the mag holders, although that one does look decent.
I'm still a fan of the plastic post trays and a good old fashioned socket rail try. The Teng one is the best tray I've found so far. The problem i fine with the pre-set stuff like that is you cant mix it up whet...
IMO ratchets/spanner wise, nothing feels like a Snap On spanner, they're still king of the hill to me and you certainly know when you use it. Even a SO spanner sounds different when you drop one.
Knipex for pliers, always. They knock the SO stuff out of the park IMO.
Screwdrivers ive got alot...
Picked up this big Kraftform micro set from Wera the other week from Amazon for £78 on Prime. it has an impressive list of really nice quality precision bits.
1x Kraftform Micro Big Pack 1 Screwdriver set for electronic applications, 25 pieces;
3x 2050 PH Screwdriver for Phillips screws for...
Personally still used PH every day for the Porsche chat and my Clio has a thread on there.
Yet when it comes to classifieds, i never look on AT at all, never have. PH is still my go to place for the nicer cars. Having said that, im a long termer when it comes to keeping cars, so hardly ever...
You probably know by now, but for those that don't. The twin valves was/is a motorsport idea to allow the tyres to be filled with Nitrogen from one valve and the normal air can be purged from the other. Also seen some teams set a pressure gauge on one valve whilst filling from the other. But i...
No use for me now i have the PMS system with PMS mounts. But these were noticeably better than the solid offerings from other manufacturers.
Much reduced NVH transferring to the boot floor, but still supporting the exhaust properly.
Good product :)
Not much happening on WZD lately.
However something I’ve had for a while has been a freshly powdercoated front ARB I’ve been meaning to fit. The ARB bushes are literally the very last bush on the car to replace. I had been putting them off as they have a reputation for being a royal pain in the...
I’d be interested to see if they’re any good. I’ve never seen a decent pair of those multi purpose pliers as they all seem to collapse when you put them under load imo.
The flip over bit is also cumbersome on all the ones I’ve seen. Would be cool to see a decent pair if there is such a thing.
Knipex are expensive but are imo the best you’ll buy and always sell for good money too.
Teng do reasonable kit that would also be worth a look. Any idea what you’re prepared to spend?
Looks like a usual XOM prototype i used to build. Nothing fits, everything fouls and tooling access impossible. You simply wouldnt believe how badly even the big OEMs can do at times.
"Oh well it fitted on CAD mate"
Yeah nice one dickhead! #facepalm!
Theyre so cheap to buy and run as it is, i cant see how you can run them on any more of a shoestring than they already are.
I mean a full suspension refresh inc dampers, bushes, mounts, lower arms, track rod ends etc can be had from RPD for circa £400!
Four hundred quid!!
To basically renew the...
