I don't think that will be an issue, if I genuinely thought there was an issue with anything I was selling, the last I would be doing is selling to a family member or close friend, and I'd imagine being brothers they would be the same.
one shouldn't be stitching up the other, and the other...
so your not a full on internet warrior and computer geek?
that must make you normal ;)
maybe see what other interest is expressed within this thread for a day or so, then we can make contact with Nick and see if anything can be done as a pre Christmas deal :)
I think if it were me, considering what banther has highlighted above, and considering what you have said, id be happy to do my brother (or in my case, my sister) a favour and let them have it for £1k.
factor in their flight costs, the fuel to get it home, its still going to cost them a bit...
the XE engine, from my limited knowledge at the time, was a great lump to play with, and it went so well.
my only real XE issues was in a Cavalier GSi I had mid 90's that suffered the dreaded pourous head issue, but easy enough to send away and have repaired.
very true, and a very valid point.
I had my twin 40's on the 1.3, then kept them (albeit rejetted) when I changed over to the 1.8 Astra GTE lump.
but sold them complete with the engine when I had the basic wizard of NOS kit fitted and run the factory injection for a while, then after a year or...
I was going to say anything between £1000 and £1250, so the above quoted price seems to fit closely with my thoughts aswell.
maybe as your brother what he thinks is a fair price, he will surely have a peek on autotrader/ebay and get a vague idea on prices for them aswell.
it has the fine mesh gauze over the trumpets, which is a form of filter in itself.
it will stop any larger debris getting in there.
edit to add: I used to run a set of DCOE Twin 40's on a Vauxhall nova like that many years ago, never had a problem atall and it continued that way for a good few...
ooh, nice choice to have.
ive just ordered the top mount and brace package, I had it before and it was a lovely bit of kit.
I can understand the opinions of it being a bit crashy for road usage, but for a track based car I felt it was lovely.
ive also ordered the wishbone strengthening and...
its not the seats that are the disappointment, as the seats themselves are almost the same as I had in the MK2 FRS.
it was bought solely to be a trackcar, to replace my Trophy track car, but it felt horrid on track and wasn't even a patch on the handling ability.
it felt heavy, lathargic...
we've recently bought an R27, im disappointed if im honest!
if we hadn't bought it, and id driven one and used one for a couple of weeks beforehand, id not have wasted £6k buying it.
with the Recaro's, its a bugger to try and get the car seat into the back with the baby in it, even tho the car...
just heard back from my mate over at P.E.C.
The best prices they can do on the valves (8 inlet and 8 exhaust) at this moment in time will be:
1 Kit = £341
2-3 Kits = £324.05 per kit.
4-5 Kits = £306.99 per kit.
6+ Kits = £289.94 per kit.
he has one set currently on the shelf that can go today...
I fully agree, I cant fault Vince on his work and dedication.
hes looked after me, and a good few people I know very well over the years, a truly helpful and friendly fellow.
im just waiting to hear back from my mate at P.E.C, I had a brief chat with him last night and he will let me know during today what price he can do them for.
I said there is the potential to be a few sets, but I wasnt specific on numbers
