after a new satnav, havent bought one for a good many years now since i was last out on the road for work, but those days are long gone.
my old one was a Tom Tom XL Europe, bought about 5/6 years ago, would have still be perfect now, but it just died one day :(
for me, its basic needs are for...
they arnt the normal coilovers tho.
those ones use a seperate rear shock, and a spring that still sits on the beam with a height adjustable platform.
so in reality, its coilovers front, and a height adjustable spring on the rear for the £1k kit.
motul rbf600 or 660 for me aswell.
had similar issues with the ATE super blue, with suffering brake fade(fluid boil after 15 -20 mins out at bedford, changing the fluid cured that for me.
although the ATE is good, its certainly not good enough for hard track work.
My R27 will be going to them before Xmas for one.
i have two mates running them in Evo's and they couldn't fault the company on the quality of work or how easy they were to deal with throughout the whole process.
ive got a set of A048's for the R27 ready to go, snapped them up a part worn set, but started looking at the 888's again ready for when they expire, then spotted the AD08's, hence my query
iirc, the R27 wheels are 7.5" with an et68
the cup speedlines are 8"
the OZ Ultraleggera's are 8" et55.
ive got the AST's on order but ive been given an 8 week lead time :(
I agree, and just joined the R27 brigade aswell.
im going for 8" wide wheels with an et55 offset and stepping up to a 225/45 Tyre.
the outer lip of the wheel will move out aprox 20mm with no need for spacers.
i can then convert over to a stud and bit kit aswell :)
No your usual tyre question comparing between two options, but this time...
The Yokohama A048, has this been superseded by the AD08 atall?
or are they two completely different identities?
cheers.
Complete kit ideally, I've been in talks with a mate about trying to squeeze a decent AP kit under the wheels.
time will tell I guess, but certainly be doing something in the interim.
Even better once the AST's go on I hope :)
ive made contact with custom cages aswell, £1000 for a full cage supplied and fitted, sooo tempting.
Still got the bimarco's and a few other bits from the Trophy aswell, so hopefully it will be a fun track car again soon :)
It has a bit Bobby, gives a nice idea of it will look :)
I've got a plan in my head with how it will end up over the coming months, but I think the misses will end up using up until our ring trip, then it's all mine :D
both routes will work well, ive relocated a standard battery in the boot of an old Focus RS, i didnt have any problems with it.
depends if you are just aiming to relocate it or after as much weight loss as possible.
i have the Odyssey on mine, im just unsure if to sell it or keep it to one side...
the car wasnt a daily runner anyhow, it only came out for trackdays.
the kill swicth suitably isolated the battery from any slow drains so it was fine, the most id ever left the car was aprox 3-4 weeks and once arming the kill switch again, the car started first time with plenty of power to take...
