Just done the whole thread! Weirdly I've never looked in here before.. I also thought you had a ph2 172 until you told me you didn't.
I think it's absolutely stunning!!! It looks spot on and the mods are sweet. The only thing I'd do (which is a minor thing) re do the brake calipers in silver...
Bit of a random spot, I saw a black boggo looking RHD Golf last night on German plates, with VW.de test-data written on small bits of card, taped to the door and boot with gaffer tape. Then a few cars back a silver 2020 Golf on German plates which was LHD.
Bright yellow Lambo Urus this morning. I think they look great! Then at the other end of the road, the light purple Lambo Huracan with the massive rear spoiler on it that sounds like a motorbike.
The 172 cup is something else though, a weight saving of 80kg and thinner windscreen glass. No ABS etc. Not to mention they look great!
A 200 cup probably doesn't save half that weight.
A red MK3 M reg base spec 3 door Fiesta last night, rusty and slammed on banded popular steel wheels. It looked cool (well I thought it did) it had a surpeme sticker on the top of the windscreen, so that let it down a bit!
My dads in his early 70's and he still cuts about in his 172. Recently I was on the loser cruiser going to collect a parcel, I heard a car go past going 'bwarpp' ..there he is giving it death right up someones arse!! :ROFLMAO:
He's a bit too young for that Rover lol!
They sold me the wrong ones for my car (Vee) told me they sell loads of them for the car and that I'm wrong. I showed them what I had been sent, surprise! They were wrong.
Evo was such a great mag! I've got most of the early ones, but haven't bought it in years.
I've got a lot of the specials, anything McLaren F1 I've got. I've got the Clio ones too, including the £10k heroes.. back when a phase 1 Vee could be had for that!
If you're a Porsche fan like me. I saw one of the rarest / craziest ones this morning, OMFG!!!! A silver wide bodied flat nose 911 Turbo, with the reg EGG 3X, It's a 1986 on 30,000 miles.
Basically like this one, but with nicer wheels (polished split rims)
