Probably not, the Americans dont get the M47, so if the box is different to the ZF 6HP, they wont care about it, map wont be available etc.
Generally if you want to mod and/or DIY a BMW, get something they sell in the US, makes life a lot easier.
100%, I can't get a BootMod3 map for mine.

Yeah that'll be it. It's unlikely that they'll develop a flash for a model they don't get, or at least less likely.

Strange that they never got a 335 Touring, although not surprising given how badly the 335d sold in the US in E90 form.

New OEM side repeaters fitted with silvervisons:

6C89ED16-E782-4D8C-BCC0-11952BA12CD0.jpeg

Nearside headlight buffed using the autoglym kit, ran out of time so do need to give it another once over when time allows but still looks a lot better than it did:

Gave the rear clusters a quick wet sand using 3000 grit and the buffering compound that came with the autoglym kit, came up well. Then added the pikey LCI style stickers, they came out well imo:

Also fitted Bosch wipers, replacement cup holder and new plates.

New boot struts ordered along with Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner, touch up pen and buffing pads as I have lots of little marks to sort out on it as expected.

Any idea on the best way to remove these somewhat stuck water marks? Worst example I have of it below:

I really need to get the alloys refurbed as 2 of them at totally fooked, any recommendations in the Suffolk area or if not how much should I be looking to pay for a set of 4 to be done roughly?

Lovely little touches, nice work. I really need to order some new repeaters too - how much were they from BMW?

Re the gloss trim, you don't want to use anything too abrasive. Maybe start with a mild clay and then something like AF Tripple? Something with a very mild cut. It might be worth posting in the detailing section too, or ask young @gally

I'd probably start with some tripple or very mild polish on a microfibre cloth and just do it by hand, if it's clean and they're just leftover marks.

Looking to get the wheels refurbed, however im not 100% sure what colour, the obvious choice initially was silver, however I’ve been toying with the idea of Ferric Grey but I think this is going to look to similar to the car colour and not really work, so will probably stick with silver, any thoughts?

Also the side repeaters are patent parts but quality is decent so good enough for me, just hoping that they don’t fade to quick!

Hoping to get the wheels done soon as one of them is totally fucked! Been quoted around the £400 mark for a proper job and happy enough with that tbh.

Next issue I need to sort is the steering wheel insert, £100 for a OE replacement but will probably strip the current one and see how it looks, you can kinda see on the first pic how it’s currently partly stripped around the buttons.

Those button trims for the wheel are cheap enough I think. Ah yeah, you have the same trim as me - Fine Aluminium

They have changed the listing since I ordered mine as they didnt come with bulbs, however it seems these ones do:

Passed it’s MOT with no advisories, also had a load of bits and bobs done on it, namely:
  • Swirl flaps blanked
  • Oil and filter change
  • Rear pads
  • Air filter
  • Fuel filter
  • Cabin filter
  • Alignment checked/amended
  • Brake fluid
Finally had a chance to spent a half decent amount of time cleaning and doing a few odds and sods to the car.

Washed, Meg scratch x applied to most of it as there were so many little hairline scratches, touched up a few marks here and there and went over it with a layer of the classic SRP, came up ok!

Unfortunately my wheel refurb was cancelled due to the current situation, couple of images of the worst one and a few other bits, worst wheels I’ve ever owned:

Looking great!! Would look even better with 12mm rear spacers though ;) (y)

Stop tempting me lol, might well do this after the wheelare done though but at the same time cba to have lockers on the front and not the rears, does my OCD in.

These the ones ye? I assume no clearance issues when running with a decent amount of load in the rear

I assume no point in doing anything with the fronts?

Yeah theyre the ones, i got the silver ones off m3cutters, think they may be a little cheaper on there? Rears only gives the same as lci looks wise, so i just went with them.

Id probs just bin off the lockers altogether, pretty sure the e90 key is the same for all cars, so the oem ones are a bit pointless (y)

Bought some black Thule wingbars and some proride bike carriers, having never used much Thule kit or any roof bars/bike carriers in the past very impressed with the fitment and ease of use.

Out of interest, how do you pronounce Thule?

I’ve heard Thule, Tooley, Thooley… all sorts.

Used to say tooley when I worked at Halfords part time whilist at college so I guess that’s correct? Lol
