It’s not for another couple of weeks, I reckon check back on the Friday night and keep your diary free on Saturday morning between 4am and 7.30am and you’ll be reet 👍
Or we could start a Chieveley list. I reckon this thread is short on lists.
If the route and timings are being published I’d half expect to see people of internet car forums and groups waving from motorway bridges with tears in their eyes, and it would be fitting if the Patrouille de France did a smoke-on fly-by to mark the occasion! A once in a lifetime opportunity...

You could try Andy Reid at ARM Ltd, ex-Renault tech and genuinely decent guy. He’s looked after my Trophy for a few years now, and has just done the belts. Based in Newbury.
May 2021 - 72,000 miles
I’ve owned the Trophy for just about 10 years now, and have covered 30,000 miles in that time, met some great people, had some fantastic drives and have absolutely no desire to part with #455 any time soon.
It has been a little neglected having hardly been driven in the...
Brilliant write-up Jamie, really valuable info in here and it’s so inspiring, I just wish I lived a little closer. 1,000 mile motorway round trip just to get to somewhere interesting will make this a challenge to get signed-off by the other half but there’s plenty of time to plan.
Just go to your retailer of choice - Currys, John Lewis, Richer Sounds etc - and buy something within budget.
At that price they’re not going to be discerning enough to understand or appreciate the finer details of spec so I’d just get one that they like the remote control of.
Overall I was really disappointed, it never really got going, they could have leveraged the cars and scenery so much more, and featured some on-road ‘battles’ but I guess they had to respect being on public roads and the budget went elsewhere.
So much more enjoyable as a read, way too much repeated aerial footage and not enough charisma in the presenters but tomorrow will hopefully deliver some good scenery.
I’m considering buying this Samsung UE55TU8500 for £599, including 5 year warranty.

Anyone got any reasons not to, or a decent alternative? It’s just for watching TV, not fussed on...
Have the dampers failed and are they off the car? If not, they might not need doing. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, it’s definitely not something I’d ever consider doing unless it was a necessity.
But if they do need doing then the main options are BG Motorsport based at Silverstone...
