The number is on a sticker on the side mount of the seat.
The dampers are Sachs remote reservoir items that sell for £1000+ a pair and they’re an essential part of the true identity of the Trophy. Plenty of people don’t use them but just bear it in mind as it will be worth less and harder to...
What number Trophy is it, you might be able to find more info on the Clio trophy forum where the history of most cars is updated to a certain degree.
The only thing to consider on a Trophy is that it’s got the bits it’s supposed to have - seats & dampers - otherwise it’s basically the same as...
Yep, it was noticeably busier out on the roads - I've never seen Aberystwyth like it, usually there's a handful of campers that stay overnight at the end of the beach, this year there were dozens and dozens of them, and as for the bikers on Sunday, I reckon I saw at least 300, some were is...

September marks the annual 182 Trophy Welsh Weekender and it was set to be a bumper attendance, but it didn’t quite turn out that way.
For various reasons (some planned, others not so much) I spent the entire weekend on my own - trying new routes (thanks @plenty) and...
I’m doing one night only, so it’ll be an early start on Saturday from near Reading, bang out as many miles as I can and end up in Aberystwyth for the night, all solo.
Sunday I’d like to hook up with the Trophys for a short while first thing, although there could end up being less than 5 of us...
When are you off on your trip @MrBlonde?
Im just planning my route for next weekend - plotting it in Tyre which I’ll save as a TomTom itinerary file (.itn) which I can then load onto my TomTom. I think it’s limited to 48 waypoints though.
Saturday home > Aberystwyth, then Sunday the return leg.
I’d pay money to someone to clean my car in the office car park - we’re on a business park and I’m sure there’d be plenty of interest around the place, but getting ‘in’ might be the trickiest part.
A mate of mine started off proper detailing at weekends, rented a space in a local garage and as...
I use Tyre and an ancient TomTom XL I picked up on eBay for a tenner, but they really do the job well.
That said, there absolutely must be a better solution out there that allows you to use current tech without having to go 10 years back in time.
The costs wouldn’t outweigh any appreciation so for me it just doesn’t make sense.
If you want a Trophy, buy one and enjoy the driving and ownership experience.
If you want to make money there are much better vehicles (pun intended) to do this but they don’t involve buying a car.
Whereabouts in the country are you? No harm taking it elsewhere for a second opinion - KTec on the south coast, Engine Dynamics in Essex, EFI Tuning on the Wirral to name a few.
I can’t remember the name of the guy but years ago he had a Trophy lowered on coilovers with 2118s - it was always a huge personal favourite because it looked so damn good! It had an RS2 and the plate was S10 BMM or similar. Off to try and find it now...
I’ve never been brave enough to go down...
The Trophy had its MOT just before lockdown - everything in order 👍
It’s still on winter wheels/tyres so I need to get them swapped for the 2118s which I’ve just had fitted with ‘new’ AD08Rs (they’ve been in the shed for a while now).
It prompted me to check the mileage and in the last 12...
Cheers fellas. I’ve also got rooms booked for September - it’s the Trophy annual run and 15th anniversary so the numbers were looking good, but I’m just not sure what’s going to happen.
For me personally if I do make it this year it’s probably going to have to be some other time, alone, and...
Were there any private rooms at Lodge Dinorwig or was it more of a bunks in dorms setup?
What did you do for breakfast as they don’t offer B&B from what I could see?
Itching to get back to Wales and just researching other places to stay. I wonder if camping might be a different way to do...
