Just ordered this bad boy.
Hopefully it'll look better than the hollowed out bowling ball i've been using for past few years, bloody thing makes me look like one of the Jackson 5.
The pikey child fight was entertaining, the big kid picking on the little kid that wanted none of it, then the little kid snapped, picked the big kid up off his feet, body slamming him into the ground damn near knocking the big bully out cold, f*cking karma! Wish i'd got it on video. lol
I run with no rear seats, no spare wheel or jack, i'm on cup shocks with Eibach Proline springs and the car handles perfectly, it is a little tail happy at times, but the answer to that is don't lift off in a corner and balance the car with the accelerator.
Decent brake pads should be the first thing on your list, my first trackday I went with regular Brembo pads and the first time I stamped on the brakes I got two huge clouds of brake dust and the pedal went to the floor.
Next is decent track tyres that need heat to work, road tyres will melt...
We've all done that, 2 years ago I spent the morning filing brake pads down to fit in the calipers, tbh I don't even like fitting track tyres but I can't drive from Cov on semi slicks and risk a puncture, which is a shame because i'm really f*cking lazy and would like to just show up and drive.
I always think, right take it easy for a few laps while you remember the track and find out where the grip is, then the light goes green and all that goes out the window and I f*cking boot it like i'm in a Police chase.
F*ck that then!
PMS it is, damn near 200 notes is a bit steep though, but I guess for an extra £20 it's probably worth it seeing as it won't rust because of the powder coating, false economy to buy a part that'll eventually be corroded as f*ck.
The only thing that concerns me about the Whiteline kit is when people sell them on they look rusty as f*ck, are any of the parts galvanised or powder coated?
Where's the cheapest place to buy a Whiteline ARB?
Obviously the for sale section, but i'd quite like one for the CSF track day, so hoping a second hand one shows up before then isn't the best option.
As far as I can tell K-Tec is the cheapest at £166.80, anyone know of a better price...
How do you do an oil change with that then, with all the oil being in the sump where do you stick the hose to get it out without undoing the sump plug, down the oil filter hole?
I forgot I had these knocking about, the 3 deep sockets came with the gun 17, 19, & 21mm.
The two rails between them have 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19 & 21mm.
That should be enough for most jobs on a car right, or am I best getting a set of deep sockets too?
So i've finally got round to buying an impact gun after years of swearing at wheel nuts.
Now my regular socket set is 1/4" so won't work without an adaptor, but being hand tools it's probably not advisable to use it with a gun, but all the deep socket sets i've seen don't seem to have as many...
In short no, if you spent £600 on a cam belt service your £1000 Clio would be worth around £1300, you may get £1500 at a push but not on here.
If you plan on keeping it as a toy then get the belts done and have some fun blasting about for a year or two, if not sell it as is and get your £1000...
