nothing too serious. An EFR8374 EWG turbo and a bridgeported block because bwap bwap and flames are fun. (not to mention the rapid spool up)
External wastegates will give the flexibility to run different boost levels for wet and dry weather. I would have loved to build a normally aspirated...
Its been a while. A busy summer has taken the pot off the boil a bit. We are on final assembly of the front subframe, suspension and a custom engine sump. I collect the shell end of the month so we can move onto the next phase!
Never seen a set fail like that. Can you email us with some details of how they were used, any pictures of the discs too?
We'll see what our distributor says next week...
The trick would be to just find a better replacement gearbox rather than faff with the current casing. You could I guess get a billet end casing made but I'd estimate around £2k as complex adaptor plates are costing me about £1300 each!
What are you using as a spring top hat? The correct AST one would then accept the black plastic bearing and collet (the black middle parts in the image), the anodised part then sitting on top of that.
DS series will be the one to get.

You will need to get the correct springs from AST ideally. You have some Eibach springs on there, basically the setup when AST could not supply the correct length and poundage in their own ones. You will have more piston travel too as you wont need that huge spacer..
We do the Pure Motorsport kit. Its not a cheap conversion but its worth it for the sheer choice of pads if you are using the car on track a lot.

I like it as they are genuinely funny. As for the time I understand that completely. Its taken me two years to do basic suspension on my own car simply down to lack of time.
The main issue for me with our chassis was getting the car low enough where undercar aero could be put on and work properly. We aimed for an 80mm ground clearance as lower was a massive compromise in suspension geometry. Even this is not really that low and we had to tub the arches and do many...
Its the biggest initial outlay and more hassle but its the most cost effective long term.
Keep a sharpie so you can mark left and right side so its easy to refit and match the pads to the discs.
No manufacturer really wants their pads to be compared to another brand so there will never be a standard set :D
It gives an indication but testing is really the only way to find a set that works best. One that works for one person, will not for another. Theres a reason why I sell about 8...
They are stiffer than the cooksport springs. For a coilover kit they are one of the best road coilovers you can buy and are well protected against the weather. We can run a softer front spring on BC kits but not many of my customers do that, usually going firmer. A 7kg front spring from BC will...
Word of advice. Dont get the shell acid dipped. You will get back half the car lol
Sounds like a potentially mental car with limited effort. Whats the traction like on track? Does it use the Focus gearbox?
Focus on mechanical grip. Get the car professionally set up suspension wise and get out and drive. Get a feel for how the car handles in different situations and then look at what can be done to change the dynamics of the chassis.
Some of the fastest Time Attack cars have very little aero. I...
Their website has a good overview of the series. You will get a better feel for it by going to an event though!
If you need the current rules I can fire them over - drop me a pm.
How about some Time Attack? Its more akin to sprinting and rallying as you are racing against the clock but its good fun. Its what I'm building a car for for next season
And finally!
Been a bit busy due to end of quarter vat return and my lack of paperwork for three months
