This isn’t about used car prices.
This is aiming at a different market where it’s collector car prices. Agree or not with the perceived value it doesn’t follow the same trend.
Classic minis, beetles, golf GTI, 205 GTI etc.
All been going up for years. Low milage examples being sought out...
Just caught up with this thread.
Car looks amazing mate. Credit to you.
Love the engine spec as well. Keeping it standard inlet abs just improving it is not very common but great results.
EDIT. Just seen it’s broken and selling at stupid money.
That’s me proper caught up now. [emoji23]...
I’ve already got one “track focused” RB clio.
I think it would be easier but more costly to build another. But it’s more about if this RB shell is the right one to make a track car from. I’ll give it some thought.
As a road car. I would have almost all the bits I need and then some. I think...
It’s completely stripped. Was a track car and has no windows except a windscreen.
That’s one reason making an RB track car might be an easier option. And still more appealing than a rusty silver one.
Sounds like save the RB. But what kind of end car.
Track car
Road car?
Something in...
I knowing bought an absolute shonker of a clio this week.
Copart special. Used unrecorded. 122k miles. Non runner. Rear arches. Silver.
Currently worth nothing. Thought I would take a punt at £450 plus fees. It’s on my door step and they delivered it to my unit for £35 [emoji23]
Anyway the...
£818 before delivery just now.
I’ve got a copart account. So if anyone does want it I could bid.
Personally think it might be worth it in parts if it still has the Cat. The engine is a runner as well. You can see it in the photos of the speedo. Normally they would flag it as runs and drives...
I started watching in 2013 when a mate put it up on a mini forum.
That mini forum gets as many visits as a Woolworths shop now. This must be one of the few car forums still running since binky was started. [emoji23]

I told my misses how much I was looking forward to them elevating episode 35. All I could talk about all last week.
Then this week got the email they were releasing another. She was shocked. [emoji23]
They are showing the car at a historic rally event in Shropshire this weekend. So it’s got...
You can probably sell the wings, bumpers and side skirts off the clio quite easily.
Good luck. A mate of mine done the conversion a few years back using my old clio as the donor. They are a surprisingly easy conversion, the elective are the biggest problem but not that difficult.
You have...
Supercharged. 140bhp rotrex setup. Spent the last few years of my life making it happen and got a mag feature earlier this year.
I’ve got a thread on here if you want to look it up. Search “project shug”

Renault related content.
Fairly standard 1.4 Renault 5 at Kames Motorsport Complex today for the classic car show.
Some other nice rally cars as well, my mini and a nice mk1 Golf GTI.

This has come up for sale local to me.
I used to have a saloon 2.3 auto. was a cool old car, this would be even better.

That’s it. I took the camper into York and parked in a multi-storey car park. Couldn’t do that in a winnebego.
I’m running this as a daily just now as well.

I might do. But it’s all money with these things.
By far the biggest issue is the engine and gearbox just now. I’ll sort that first.
Then kitchen unit / fridge / sink etc.
Then I might fit a pop top. You can buy one for the t4 that is side opening. It’s about £1100 for a LWB and can be...
Yeah. I’ve got an inferno 182 to finish doing up and sell. Then it’s on to stripping the Skoda.
I do get the fear that I’m going to c**k up a reliable old bus though. These 2.4D engines go in forever. Probably because they are 80% noise and 20% power.

My wife won’t sleep in a tent. So yes.
But this was always really for me. And I can go away to hillclimbs / sprints and tracks and sleep in the van.

Back at work this week after a full 8 nights away with the family in the VW.
Overall thoughts.
It’s ok space wise with the awning.
Sleeping arrangements are fine.
The wife was quite happy. But I had one night sleeping in the camper and the bed it too hard. So it needs an air bed / memory...
