I know this doesnt help so much, but with mine, you can drive over the nastiest ruts and undulations that English roads has to offer, at most the wheel will feel slightly lighter and jerk a bit, I still have complete control over the wheel. My other 182 that I just bought (completely stock) and...
Considering you have a diff you can rule that out. I think if you can take it somewhere to have it balanced and aligned you can then get a better understand at what it could be. I think mine had a bit of a wack or off before I got it, there was no arb and it needed a fair bit of work, I then...
You also lose a fair bit of caster fitting a roll centre kit, as Im under the assumption the clio has quite a lot of dynamic caster under bump, this is what Ive noticed from my setup (no RCC) and other people that have fitted them.
How heavy/light is your steering? Because one of the things having manual steering on mine highlighted that I was inducing way to much steering angle. Being open diff I have to be extra careful. I know someone will come along and say you need a diff (I assume you dont have one) but its not the...
Why are people not protecting the headlights after? Even with the autoglym kit that comes with polish, without fortnightly re application of the polish the headlights go bad after a couple months.
Would be better modular anyway so you can fine tine the suspension geometry. Exactly like what they did for the s1600 clio.
If you want a road car setup then just raise the lower arm mounting points up to keep the standard lower bj, and thread the end of the arb and weld a bracket to the...
Admittedly Im still at the start of W3! Unlike most other games I feel its too deep to just have a quick go here and there, it needs more attention. When my minds freed up a bit I want to play it properly.
@Touring_Rob The reason for the 3 male ends is the need for swivel fittings, I dont like fixed male ends for brake lines, unless Im using hardlines its another story. Technically, goodridge do -3 thread for -2 line fittings, so off the shelf parts would suffice. We will see how much the rest of...
4 or so depending on cost. These is just ideas at the moment, I will need a few different custom fittings made up but if the cost is too high then Ill just stick to the pedal box.
I meant that comment for the op. But your input is valued 😄
I thought you had something similar or was the mating surface just ever so slightly off on yours?
My rear left is a bit toe in and with the scenic hubs being huge its very noticeable.
For a while now Ive really wanted to be able to make parts in cad. After following tutorials I made this pedal box base plate as I thought it was a good solid design to practice with. Most of the dimensions are correct bar the fillets which I had to guess, as the sheets on the ap racing website...
Ive had standard hpas, quick rack hpas, epas with quick rack, manual quick rack.. Theres just something not right about the the pas in these cars, running aggressive alignment puts the pas to work and the torsion bar twists so much before you get assistance, its very unsettling. The recent rack...
Cool. Having rcc/the lower joint closer to the ground effects steering weight, I dont have rcc and my steering is so god damn heavy, I have decent strength but If an animal or small child ran out in the middle of the road theyd be a goner 😄 Hopefully you can run that caster and not have a by...
You are putting a lot of stress on the power steering pump turning stationary, at full lock you are possibly 'telling' the pump to give max assistance which is why it whines. My advice, dont turn while stationary if you can help it.
No good.. Perhaps If I get my bank to sort it out, Ill save these for someone to machine down and have 2 different lengths if I want to play around with the geometry
