I’ll bare that in mind thanks. I originally fit the pms kit some years ago but there wasn’t enough articulation with the joint and it fouled. As the hubs had already been drilled out I fit a Nissan s15 bump steer kit. I’m thinking another s15 kit because I prefer the black over zinc plated 😂...

You would probably heat just the red circle area. Surely the whole casing wouldnt expand as the outer part is not getting hot at all. So the the inner point to the outer point (black arrow) is getting smaller.
Picture on left which is what happens when you heat it right? You are 'gaining' size in the outer and 'losing' size in the inner part. Because what I dont get is you heat the part and you are not heating the whole casing just where the bearing seats, 'it gets bigger' for the bearing, but the...
So when you heat it, it goes outward both ways and not inward. When you cool it, it goes inward both ways. But its both increasing in size and shrinking at the same time right?
Seeing all that space he has just annoys me. Ive spent months looking for a unit, found one thats 500 sqft, have done the paperwork but I wont be getting it until the start of July as some refurbishment has been delayed. ONE of his buildings is 25000 sqft! 😩
Was that optimiz or a shop over here that had the wrong ones? Also on your rcc hubs, does the uniball slot into the bracket with ease or is it a very light press fit? Reason I ask is I was looking at a uniball weld cup from a site and they said this isnt suited for rally or circuit only oval racing.
Just about to order the laguna hub pins from optimiz access, they also do the uniballs for 40 euro each. Its a 16x38x15-21 uniball. Anyone know if you can get them from here? Would help save on extra import tax.
The brake master cylinder, its a crap job with the engine in place, if you were thinking of keeping the car for a long time then its a consideration. Its still a crap job regardless though especially with abs.
If you are willing to put a bit of money into it, while the engines out then a new mc, rack bushes, arb bushes, engine and gearbox mounts.. Basically the whole front end refreshed.
