Hi guys, has anyone used one of these alloy radiators and has any proof or know they are an upgrade for better cooling?
Looking into buying one but don’t like wasting money just because it’s supposed to do the job rather than knowing...

I have two, N/A 20v. One in the purple portifino blue, and the Ink blue (black) they sound amazing, occasionally start them up and give them a rev.. need to do something with them.
Never owned a Turbo but have had lots to do with them for a mate, I have all the cam lobe locking tools in my tool...
Turbo can be reliable, I’m proof. Do it well! Too many pricks slapping them together and hoping for the best!
5+ years of driving daily, track days, nur/spa trips, full days of abuse! Agree with short slower tracks there isn’t much advantage to turbo over a very well setup Clio 182 track car...
Don’t know if you are all aware, Renault now use Castrol instead of Elf. We’ve only just got all our new stocks after waiting for oil to be sorted and on Backorder... will be running this in mine now after always using Elf.

The way this turbo spools is unreal, it’s slightly over boosting at the moment so need to be careful until I get it up to mapping again.. but it’s produces boost effortlessly.
Gearbox feels spot on again and loving seeing the new intercooler filling the front grill...
Well it’s running, still waiting for a boost pipe from ASH. Will be here tomorrow then I can get the bumper back on and have a drive [emoji106]

Yeah, to be honest I don’t know why I didn’t put a flexible joint in to start with, may have been worried about chopping the downpipe, it was made by the guys that make the PMS system!

Coming together now, cooler sitting nicely, few pipes coming to get it all nice. Should start it up this week and check base actuator boost levels before running it into my boost solenoid.. actually hoping it won’t be safe on the AFR when in full boost. I’d like another dyno tweak and see what...
All ready to drop back in the bay, I may encounter clearance issues to the bulk head, fingers crossed it’ll be just pipework if anything

You shall not move! Nearly finished fabricating my brace, will be a bar through the brackets on the turbo, this is a mock up but is doing the job!

This may help you, a little chart from when I was working out comp ratios in my 182 using MEG 3 RS 265 pistons and rods, ended up using the stock gasket and it’s lovely! 9:1
I went from a low boost setup with stock internals using the ED kit to then the Megane internals and maxed out the setup...
