Looking back at the build... a lot of time between getting the engine built and running. If not plenty of assembly lube used I’d imagine for a split second a bearing could pick up during first starts and cause issues.

I think the space will be okay, it doesn’t have to be too elaborate like ram horns with exact equal length runs or anything! The log manifold does the job and that is a horrendous design so anything would be an improvement, especially with a collector at the v band / t25 flange
