Has anyone used gaz gha coilovers with the standard 300/400 spring rates? As I’m pretty sure mine are fucked as they bounce about a lot, although the roads round my way are s**t. Would be good to hear other people’s experiences
Thanks to @Daniel (legend even delivered them!) I now have a set of NS2-R’s ready for my track evening at snetterton this coming Monday. Car has been wheel aligned, filled with fuel, done 40 miles on the road and it seems all okay. Just to fit the new tyres and a final spanner check before...
My 2 garage spaces, pretty lucky to have them, although I don’t have power/light in them so can be a pita running extension leads out. Shame their is a wall down the middle of them, one day I’ll ask if I can knock it down.
That’s the plan 😂 I’m not 100% sure on the model (forgot to look before i put it back together!) but it’s a helix one and it was in good condition, looked barely worn.
You may have just read my 182 thread and again it’s been a while!
After the MOT hiccup I found the starter motor wiring had shorted on the exhaust manifold, back feeding the alternator and killing the alternator. After much faffing I got that sorted and had to wire in a new inline fuse as the...
So it’s been a while but still going. Some things have happened meaning when the car is complete my dad will be having it back and enjoying it for himself, ashame for me but that’s life! I’ll still get to enjoy it at some point!
Anyway, lots of progress. We got the gearbox rebuilt and diff...
I need to order some engine bits and I want to order the thicker Megane gasket. Do I need to order a clio headset and then just a Megane headgasket, or can I just order a Megane headset? I’m not sure if the rest of the gaskets transfer over from 172 to Megane 225?
Sorry to bring up an old thread, today I managed to pop the fuseable link because the starter wiring touched the manifold 😩 from what I’ve read I need 120amp mega fuse? It’s all standard location etc
If doing it at home on the driveway I’d pull it out the top and do it all in one go. But if you have access to a ramp I’d leave the engine in and drop the subframe/gearbox.
As for jobs while it’s out, I’d whip off the sump and fit some arp rod bolts and reseal the sump. I’d also consider...
Some progress today! Subframe back on with new lower arm (offside was already new) new arb bushes inside and out. Also replaced the steering arm and track rod ends .
Fitted the rear pms studs, and ran a new fuel return line to the tank as the old one was too short. Aiming to have it rolling...
I haven’t no, still looking at them though as they seem good value! Yep I can’t wait been a long time coming lol
Cheers mate! I meant to tag you but I think I was still half asleep when I posted that this morning! Really really love them, way to good to go on track.
