Update. I’ve not seen the car for two weeks and not heard from the mechanic. Pretty standard customer service these days. I’ll probably chase up at the back end of next week. In other news I did by some rare volvo galaxy wheels. Theyre scene safe.

Volvo update. Needs a bit of welding but nothing too severe. Been told it will be £200 to get it through the mot (including the price of the mot) so I can live with that. Should be back with me late next week hopefully.

The 940 turbo swaps are supposed to be pretty easy. Shame I just sold the perfect £500 donor!

£20 for an eBay advert why not try it? Shitty Guls sell for the best part of £10k these days. Sticks it on at £20k, someone comes along and offers him £16k, they accept thinking they’ve got a deal, he walks away with £4K profit as he only paid £12k. Job done.

Despite owing several volvos, I have never owned a 240. Well, that’s changed now as I am now the proud owner of this late 1993 Volvo 240 2.0 8v. Previous owner has had it since 1995 so I will be the third owner. I had to speak to him when the courier was there and he was choking up, 93 years...

I did but was talked out of it! To be fair, for what I could have sold it for I still won’t be losing money - just won’t be making 3k like I was going to.

It will all be worth it during summer. That’s what I keep telling myself.
