Where the shafts from?
Mine are the same, to small for the outer and inner. I’ve fitted universals ones and even they seem to fit s**t. I ordered a 1 new outer joint and the boot fitted really well iirc, want me to get the part number for you to try as I kept the box.
Some new parts.
Fuel line olives as I need to redo one of them.
Front pads for the AP brakes and some lights for the front.
Working towards a deadline now with plenty to do and probably not enough time to do it 😂
Hi all,
I need wiring pin out put diagrams for the rear lights, fuel pump and wiper motor if anyone can help?
Also after the fuse box wiring diagram and fuse amp sizing for a a 172 cup.
I think there was a complete wiring PDF file doing the rounds a few years ago of someone has that saved...
New fuel lines made, new brake lines in and a general tidy up inside to start planning the wiring routing.

Cheers mate.
Yeah ECU is mounted to the carbon panel on anti vibration bobbin mounts with anti vibration padding also, then the carbon mount is also mount mounted to the bulkhead with the same. Really solid but hopefully won’t rattle
The dolly’s aren’t as easy to move as I thought they’d be. The wheels are too small really and get stuck in any rut. My floor isn’t perfect but not bad, I’ve put carpet down to cover the whole floor which m has made it slightly easier. Think I’ll probably go back to making a dolly out of bigger...
Been tweaking the ecu, spaced it out an extra 10mm so the looms can pass behind it and finalised the bulkhead connector.
Fuel hose needs addressing, brake hoses need ordering to finish off the loom.
Finalised the bias valve location
Id been looking at ordering Race Ramps blocks to put the...
Sweet all covered 👌🏻
Tubular and removable front is on my list once done.
My engine didn’t sit right with the engine mount on and gearbox mount bolted to the strut tower 🤦🏻♂️ Took loads of fiddling and faffing but glad I spent the hours doing so.
Good progress. Funny how your rad clearance problems are reversed to mine. I really struggled to get a neat solution for the bottom hose as the thermostat housing outlet was so close to the fans/rad but clutch slave miles away. Must be how it sits in the Mk1.
You got the engine and box level...
Can’t see it being an issue, I emailed ITG about them before i saw these on eBay cheap.
Racing circuits can get them made to any length you need if you know the length required.
Started today mounting the ECU, Fuse boxes and Bulkhead connector.
Come out pretty well I think. I need one more mount for the top right of the fuse box and 4 hands to bolt the bulkhead connector up.
Ignore the fuel lines and gear cables as they need finishing off.
These engines response...
Small job but it’s tick off.
Brake hose retaining clips. With these type of hoses they don’t work so had to machine up some washers. By machine I mean enlarge the hole with a die grinder and an angry bit.
Worked a treat
Started work on the throttle cable. Needed a stop of some sort.
Ordered a rubber stop with an m8 stud coming off the back.
Throttle pedal travel is rather short so going to take some working out to get all the pedals level.
Started looking at refitting my bias valve in the the brake line...
The bearing itself presses up to the circlip but the hub flange presses through the bearing with no clip, so if the flange isn’t pressed in all the way the disc and wheel will sit further out.
Know what you mean but I did this with my 54mm hubs and Laguna hubs heavy handed with no issues, there such big lumps on these I can’t see that being the issue.
But I could be wrong as there’s always a first time
