Thanks for the ride today. I was expecting to be blown away by the speed but wasn't. Instead i was amazed at the driveability and the pull in 3rd/4th.
Bat s**t mental
I know, I saw that and I know exactly how I would want you to 'spec' it for me.
She would mind, A LOT. Its not part of the 2013 plan im afraid. :argue:
I hope you sell it though and dont have to break it, there cant be many left now
That is the normal way of doing it yes as the springs that length are readily available. As said i had some custom ones made about 4 or 5 years ago. Did run the spacer for a few months when i had them on the trackcar
Weve never run a sleeve on the rear. We had some springs made years ago (tall black ones in that pic) very hard to get springs the right size so has to be custom made if you want to loose spacer.
Think there is a helper on the rear (James will know, he changed the rears) fronts have a helper
We reckon so yes. How we had the car setup previously was always a little compromised due to the springs we were running. With this setup weve managed to maintain the high speed balance and improve the slow/medium speed whilst making it quicker mid corner. Yes the headline laptime Tony did at...
Oulton Park Pre-season Run
We didn’t intend to test the car prior to the first race at Rockingham next month. Work, holidays and our trackday at Llandow is going to keep us very busy in March. The best we had planned was a quick shakedown run up and down our friends long drive way. But an...
Massive air leak i reckon. Did you replace the gaskets?
There is a rubber seal on the bottom of the top inlet that is often forgotten, make sure its not still stuck to your old inlet
Probably the notes that have been given to them by organisers. WRC crews do the route before hand and make their own notes so probably add more detail.
That was my take on it anyway
i didnt mention brakes at all and didnt mean to buy new suspesnion, just springs as you said you would trailer everywhere so it can be less compromised if its not for use on the road. (for example the race car has over 700lb springs on it)
But then i read you want to hoon about the moors so my...
Just a thought but £3k is A LOT of trackdays. Why not get a diff (best thing we ever did to our car), some proper tyres, stiffen the suspension (if its being trailered everywhere) and enjoy.
As i say just a thought, id love some boost myself one day so i can see where your coming from
Brands and Mallory are representative times on that vid. Donington was slower than we should have gone, set up wasn't that ideal. I went quicker than that in 2011 with less power. 1:23.7 iirc. I think we should be low 22's round there really
