I don't get it, who's buying that, for that price?
you wouldn't want to drive it to risk putting miles on it,
you would need to keep it 30 years to actually see a return on it, at which point your only profit will have been pissed away in gearbox rebuilds, swivel hubs, exhaust manifold flexis...
The 2hr track nights are mint if its dry, I take my wee girl and we have a ball just walking about watching the cars and by the time she gets bored its home time!
yeah 100%, and it could do with being a bit lower but tbh the cheap project has started growing arms and legs so that's all for now, ill revisit at a later date!
the genuine ones come with the rear abs sensor brackets, but from ktec they didn't so I'm not sure if they remove them to sell separate and offset some of the cost at some point! as i had to go and buy a pair!
It won't sound any different with a sports cat, as it's still got a cat to go thru! It will likely then be a nightmare to get thru an MOT
It won't be doing a "car clean" what ever that is, it's probably running rich and not doing the cat any favours, hence the eggy smell!
Abs light and stop light were on due to the car not having abs where the donor car did, solved...
Clock/radio display hasn't worked since I got it, swapped it from the donor car while I was in there, success! Replaced the bulbs while I was there
Fitted the exhaust, fits like s**t, sounds...
wheel off, pull out the 2 plastic bungs holding the arch liner in, undo the (t15/t20?) screw holding the arch liner to the bumper, gives you plenty access to the fog light, its then held in with 2 (again T20? i think) screws, 10 minute job.
Bring on the old skool parts 😂
Cleaned up the RSI seats, it's a shame one has a massive rocky burn in it!!! I suppose it ads to the character of the car...
I was going to keep the original povo spec seats in it but i think the RSI seats might finish it off nicely? thoughts?
a...
I wouldn't say so, sounds about right, brim the tank (41 litres in the tank if that's correct) see how many miles it does until the light comes on, see how many litres it takes to fill again and now you know how many miles its done and to how many litres, you can then work out the MPG using...
my 2001 1.2 16v does around 400 miles between fuel stops, its got a 50 litre tank but takes about 40 litres each time I fill it so works out around 45mpg, that's mainly just a 15 mile each way motorway commute during quiet hours
easy swap, engine loom, engine and box, ECU & UCH
EDIT: actually might require a dash loom too, check and see if the 1.2 8v is a cable throttle and will have the different dials with the screen in the middle where your ph2 16v will have the small screen down the bottom right??
I run brembo oe front discs and mintex m1144 front pads, perfect combination imo for a fast road car, not overly expensive, easily available, work well from cold but a big step up in performance over the factory setup
Successful first drive! ive been running about in a 1.2 16v for a few months so it feels fast :ROFLMAO:
Going into the wheel specialist for a wheel refurb and fresh rubber next week (GOLD!) then wheel alignment, MOT and CSF!!
